Dear Teachers,<br />
The Championship Committee is delighted to announce that the 2011 All Scotland<br />
Championships will take place in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, the same venue<br />
as the World Championships 2010.. This fabulous venue is situated in the heart <strong>of</strong><br />
Glasgow and is surrounded by many outstanding hotels, restaurants and shopping<br />
areas.<br />
This is the first time that the Championships will be the secondary qualifying event<br />
for dancers resident in mainland Britain or Continental Europe.<br />
We are again <strong>of</strong>fering Preliminary Championships which will run in conjunction with<br />
the Open Championships (Under 10 Championships upwards). All Championships<br />
will also have 2 solo results (U5 & U 6 have 3 Solo results). Please read carefully<br />
the rules <strong>of</strong> eligibility for Preliminary Championships.<br />

The above timetable is only provisional and is based on the 2010 GB<br />
Entries. The final timetable will be issued 4 weeks prior to the<br />
competitions.<br />
The organisers will try to keep to the above days wherever possible but<br />
some smaller competitions may need to be changed.<br />
2. All entries must be made on the enclosed <strong>of</strong>ficial entry forms, which must be fully<br />
completed and signed by the teacher. Entries will only be accepted from teachers<br />
en-bloc and not on an individual basis.<br />
3. The dancer’s FULL FIRST NAME and SURNAME must be entered in BLOCK<br />
CAPITALS. The choice <strong>of</strong> Reel or Slip Jig, Jig or Hornpipe, name and tempo <strong>of</strong> set<br />
dances for Championships must also be stated.<br />
4. The Feis Committee may modify or cancel any arrangements detailed in this<br />
syllabus as is deemed necessary, subject to the approval <strong>of</strong> AN COIMISIÚN.<br />
5. Adjudicators decisions are final.<br />
6. Complaints (written) and accompanied with a £20.00 fee to the Feis Secretary prior<br />
to the announcement <strong>of</strong> a result. The fee will be returned if the complaint is<br />
upheld.<br />
7. Competitors must be present when their competition is called and fully obey all<br />
directions from Feis Stewards and Officials, or they may lose their right to dance.<br />
Everyone in attendance must follow the Code <strong>of</strong> Conduct published in the<br />
programme.<br />
8 All trophies are perpetual challenge trophies and must be returned at the request <strong>of</strong><br />
the Feis Committee.<br />
9. The normal rotation <strong>of</strong> dances will be Heavy Jig or Hornpipe, Reel or Slip Jig.<br />
10. Tempos for Solo Championships will be the same as those stipulated for the World<br />
Championships.<br />

11. All competitors must be in full costume and appropriate footwear when receiving<br />
awards, otherwise such awards may be forfeited.<br />
13. Changing facilities will be provided and must be used. NO CHANGING IN THE HALLS<br />
WILL BE ALLOWED.<br />
14. THE DRESS CODE IN ACCORDANCE WITH AN COIMISIUN RULING WILL BE<br />
STRICTLY OBSERVED. i..e. for the sake <strong>of</strong> modesty and in the interests <strong>of</strong> safety to<br />
young people, dancers will not be permitted to walk around the feis scantily dressed.
