(Malaysia), in partnership with UNESCO, the <strong>Institute</strong> of Diplomacy & Foreign Relations (Malaysia),<br />
the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities (UKM), IKMAS and the <strong>Eubios</strong> <strong>Ethics</strong> <strong>Institute</strong><br />
The 13 th Asian Bioethics Conference 2012 will be hosted by Malaysia. It is the annual<br />
bioethics conference of the Asian Bioethics Association. The conference brings<br />
together scholars and policy makers from many disciplines all around the world to<br />
discuss and deliberate on the latest issues facing humanity.<br />
ABOUT THE THEME<br />
Bioethics and Life: Security, Science and Society examines the extent that<br />
scientific, social and security dimensions of Asian Bioethics impact upon life,<br />
society, environment, state and the international systems.<br />
ALL ARE WELCOME<br />
Paper presentation and participation are welcomed from academics,<br />
scholars, policy makers, students and enthusiasts in the various disciplines of<br />
Asian Bioethics, from expert to novice.<br />

SUBMISSION DATES<br />
Submission of Abstract: 31 May 2012<br />
Submission of Full paper: 31 July 2012<br />
Abstract should not be more than 300 words in English with 3-5 key words.<br />
It should also carry the full name(s) & contact details of the author(s). Kindly<br />
indicate 3 preferred sub-themes (from the list) that your abstract fits into.<br />
Full paper should be between 5000-8000 words. Papers received before the<br />
deadline will be included into the Indexed Conference Proceeding. In addition,<br />
the papers will be automatically included into the Best Paper competition.<br />
Selected papers will be offered to be published in special issues of the <strong>Eubios</strong><br />
Journal of Asian and International Bioethics (EJAIB)- the official journal of<br />
ABA, the Asia Pacific Journal of <strong>Ethics</strong> and Social Justice and book volumes by<br />
international publishers.<br />

given a ‘submission code’. Kindly use this code for reference when contacting<br />
the organizer. Proposals for sessions can also be made.<br />
