Is-Seklu XX
The second series of ‘Dak kien is-Seklu
XX’ is due back on NET TV this autumn.
This nostalgia-based show is aimed
at presenting memories of the 20 th
century to viewers and each programme
will concentrate on a short period of
years from that century – remembering
how life was at the time, what the
important events were, what inventions
came about, the life and style of
various personalities from the political,
entertainment and sporting world.
The first series took us down memory
lane until the end of World War II. The
second series starts when peace railed
in in Europe at the start of 1946. Great
changes have occurred since then both
in Malta and in the world – this second
series is focusing on: change - change
in lifestyle, change in attitude, change
in politics. Vinnie Vella Jr and his band
together with resident singer Fiona will
once again provide the “sound track”
to the 20 th century and the programme
will be presented by Stephanie Spiteri
who will host various guests to guide
us through the second part of the 20 th

You can’t mention Maltese football
without mentioning the sports
programme Replay! Out of Net TV’s
coming schedule, Replay is the longestrunning
programme having been
produced for the past eight years. What
has been encouraging throughout the
years is the way the programme has
attracted new and increased audiences
every Sunday night. Last season Replay
didn’t feature local football, but this
time the Premier division league
is back! Moreover, Replay will also
highlight international football leagues.
Replay owes its popularity to the
fact that it is an original concept
programme. This year, Net Television’s
sports programme will feature special
features from abroad, including
interviews with Maltese football players
playing with foreign teams, meetings
with famous foreign personalities
and more. But that’s not all – chat,
interviews with leading sports figures
and controversial issues will be aired to
keep Replay as fresh as ever.

the 7.45 p.m. news on Net television
and is a very short spot of around 5

suitable for all those who would like to

The award winning sports journalist
Charles Camenzuli is back with another
edition of Sport Xtra. Sport Xtra remains
the only programme in Malta which
gives a voice to around 40 national
sports associations covering their
participation both in Malta and abroad.
In this series, the programme will
be looking towards the Beijing 2008
Ollympic Games, where Charles
Camenzuli will be giving details and
information regarding the athlete’s
preparation in view of the Games.
Sport Xtra remains the programme
with exclusive information of what is
happening within the International
federations and International Olympic
Committee. It remains as well the
programme which generates new
interest in sport through its open
discussions covering various topics
- from doping in sport, women’s
participation, physical education,
sports nutrition to financing. Sport
Xtra continues with the series ‘ A Life
in Sports’ where televiewers have the
chance to meet athletes and officials
who have contributed towards the
development of sport in Malta. Sport

Mini Bugz
The Minibugz team is busy preparing
for the upcoming winter schedule. From
October there will be new games, and
also a new character, Ewreljus will be
with us once a week to talk about the
Euro currency. This year’s Minibugz will
also feature new videos and songs.

Waking up will never as easy as from
next October. La Qomna, QOMNA as
the name implies will make sure that
once our eyes are open we wake up
fully geared up for the day ahead. What

and Louise Tedesco.
