PRESIDENT’S CORNER

The Rally was a whopping success compared to the
last few years. We registered 245 people. That is a
record for us. I hope it keeps growing but don’t
want it to get out of hand. Everyone thanked me and
all who had a part in making it such a good success.
I don’t remember having so many people tell me
thanks and that they will be back next year. Now, if
we can just keep Ron as Rally Chairman, we should
have another very successful year, next year. Of
course, the beautifully weekend had a lot to do with
it. Wish I could have taken credit for that but I don’t
have that much pull with someone much higher up
than me.
I want to send a big THANKS to everyone who
helped at the Rally. First and foremost, Ron Brant.
He is so organized, it’s almost scary. Ha ha! The list
is long but I’m going to try and name them. If I miss
you, let me know and I’ll do it in the next newsletter.

all the items written down. That’s something we
need to work on for next year.

The town of Burkesville was a tremendous help. We
could not hold this Rally without them. I especially
want to thank Stacey Trasher for all her help. All I
had to do was call her and tell her what I needed and
it was done.

Because of the picnic and the RA Rally in NC
the weekend before, we will not have a ride this

The 35th Annual BMW Motorcycle Owners of
America International Rally will be held on the
southern edge of West Bend, Wisconsin. The dates
are Thursday through Sunday morning, July 12 -
15th. The rally site - the Washington County Fair
Park - is located smack in the middle of this 125-
mile route that stretches from Whitewater Lake in
the south to Elkhart Lake at the northern tip. It is a
bit of riding-nirvana that we hope you won't miss.

A Sportbike Track Time Event will be an
unforgettable experience.... we guarantee it !! The STT
event format is designed to give each and every rider
maximum on-track time. We offer weekend and weekday
events. A typical 3-group standard day will find you
enjoying 140 - 160 miles of track time. Riders at a
Limited Endurance Day - LED (2-groups & 30-minute
sessions) regularly log 200 – 260 miles of track time.
Riders at standard events are split into three groups -
Novice, Intermediate and Advanced whereas LED's use
a two-group system. Participation is strictly limited to
ensure a quality experience. 96% of our events sold out
in 2006.
Events are open to riders of all skill levels.
Personalized instruction is provided and encouraged. All
Novice group participants receive "Class-Time" and ontrack
instruction with qualified instructors at no additional
costs. Personal instruction is available for the
intermediate and advanced riders by the STT staff. At
day's end you will have a new found sense of confidence
in yourself and your machine.

The Alphabet Challenge
The BMW Motorcycle Club of Nashville
Chairman

The objective of this Challenge is to visit
Tennessee cities (incorporated or unincorporated)
whose name begins with each letter of the alphabet.
This is not a competition or race. This is an
individual endeavor with goals set by you.
The rules are simple! Just visit as many cities as
you can during the Challenge period. The
Challenge ends two weeks prior to the Club
Christmas Dinner.
Documentation of your visit consists of a
completed Challenge worksheet and either a picture
of you and your bike OR a picture of your bike in
front of an appropriate landmark (city limit sign,
post office, etc.). All documentation must be
received prior to the end of the Challenge. The
Challenge is open to members of BMWMCON.
Your successful completion of this Challenge
will be recognized at the Christmas Dinner.

2007 Curve Cowboy Reunion
This year’s event, the 8 th CCR, will be at the Tan-Tar-A
Resort in Lake of the Ozarks, MO, from August 28 th
to September 1, 2007, which promises to be another
spectacular location and resort. If you like golf or
boating or just laying by the pool, you’ll love this place.
Oh, and great riding, too. If you’ve ever thought about
this type of rally, I would encourage you to sign up soon
because every year it sells out. Because they do plan
group dinners they limit the number of attendees to
about 600. This year’s event registration will set you
back $139 pp. That’s about $35 per day. And the room
rates are a very reasonable $89 per night. A little pricier
than any other rallies, but well worth it, given the
location, included meals, and amenities. Think of it more
as a great vacation than just a rally. Your SO will love
you for it.

The 4th Annual Black Hills BMW Stampede
A three day motorcycle rally held in the beautiful
BlackHills of South Dakota July 6-8, 2007.

Show and Shine – Located Main St. Spearfish. 5 p.m.

50/50 giveaway, prizes).
