Good grants give hope.
Violet’s Cupboard strives to enhance the quality of life for local
residents with HIV/AIDS. A $ 2,000 grant funds its partnership with
Community AIDS Network. Together, the organizations offer HIV
testing and counseling to comfort those living with the virus.
Gay Community Endowment Fund grants inspire understanding and
philanthropy among the GLBT community and throughout Greater Akron.
Empowering women strengthens our community.
This year, the Women’s Endowment Fund empowered women
through safety and economic-empowerment grants. An $ 11,000
grant to Mustard Seed Development Center provides credit and
budget counseling to women seeking financial stability.
Women’s Endowment Fund grants support positive social change for
local women and girls, improving the entire community as a result.
