Good grants give hope.<br />
Violet’s Cupboard strives to enhance the quality of life for local<br />
residents with HIV/AIDS. A $ 2,000 grant funds its partnership with<br />
<strong>Community</strong> AIDS Network. Together, the organizations offer HIV<br />
testing and counseling to comfort those living with the virus.<br />
Gay <strong>Community</strong> Endowment Fund grants inspire understanding and<br />
philanthropy among the GLBT community and throughout Greater <strong>Akron</strong>.<br />
Empowering women strengthens our community.<br />
This year, the Women’s Endowment Fund empowered women<br />
through safety and economic-empowerment grants. An $ 11,000<br />
grant to Mustard Seed Development Center provides credit and<br />
budget counseling to women seeking financial stability.<br />
Women’s Endowment Fund grants support positive social change for<br />
local women and girls, improving the entire community as a result.<br />
