Meeting began at 7:10pm, and was held in the high school library<br />
Financial Report:<br />
Checking: $6,222.30<br />
Savings: $5,803.98<br />
Cash: $ 500.00<br />
Total: $ 12,526.28<br />
Items Discussed:<br />
Concession Report: There was approx. $1200 spent to start up the concession stand.<br />
We usually make approx. $400-500 per event, with the events on field hockey field<br />
yielding approx. $27-50 with just candy/chips and drinks for sale. It took most of the<br />
season to net positive on the initial investment on the concession stand due to all of the<br />
cancelled games.<br />
Spirit items: We did not sell as many spirit items during the fall season as we would<br />
have liked. We feel that they will sell at the basketball games, and we will set up a table<br />
in the lobby to make them available at the door.
Fall Awards Ceremony Planning: There are approximately 77 athletes that would be<br />
recognized during the fall awards. This will be the first awards ceremony that will be a<br />
presentation followed by a reception.<br />
Duties:<br />
*Lisa Culwell to order the cakes and pick up the desserts on the day of<br />
the banquet<br />
*Kelly Lesh to get chips and pretzels for the reception, as well and punch<br />
ingredients<br />
*The concession stand already has forks and coffee supplies, and Chris<br />
Stroup will check for other items that may be needed-plates, cups,<br />
napkins, etc.<br />
*Jennifer Bollinger will do signs and streamers for athlete section<br />
*Kelly Lesh will contact Stacey Snyder for photos for slide show<br />
It was decided that we will use first 5 rows of auditorium center section to have athletes<br />
sit for ease of exiting for recognition.<br />
Adam Sheaffer is responsible for the program.<br />
Set up will be at 6pm and any parents that were present at meeting were asked to come<br />
and help set up.<br />
Seat Cushions: Jacki to look into ordering about 4 doz to have available for sale for first<br />
basketball games. Selling price to be around $10 each.<br />
Basketball: Kelly Lesh to be in charge of volunteer list for boys games, Lisa Kuhns and<br />
Denise Fisher will handle the girls game volunteers.<br />
Student Council Donation: It was decided that the club would give a $100 donation for<br />
refreshments for a student council event planned for Nov 11.<br />
Next meeting: Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 7pm in HS library.<br />
