The Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources<br />

Management major provides you with all the required<br />

courses to earn your Certified Human Resources<br />

Professional designation (CHRP). The curriculum is designed<br />

to teach you the essential skills and perspectives needed for<br />

a successful career in human resources management within<br />

any organization.<br />

COMMERCE<br />

BRIDGE PROGRAM<br />

The Commerce Bridge program provides you with two<br />

opportunities to apply the diploma or degree you have<br />

previously earned toward a BCom (Hons) degree at <strong>UOIT</strong>.<br />

The direct entry option is available for three-year Ontario<br />

college business diploma graduates in Accounting, Marketing,<br />

Human Resources, Finance or Operations with a minimum<br />

B average. Students under the direct entry option will flow<br />

directly into the third year of study in the BCom program.<br />

Students with a two-year Ontario college business diploma<br />

with a minimum B average are granted specific 45 credit hour<br />

course transfer towards a BCom degree with the option of<br />

completing five bridging courses, upon completion of which<br />

they would proceed to the third year of study at <strong>UOIT</strong> with<br />

specific 60 credit hour course transfer.<br />

The Commerce Bridge is available for students with an<br />

Ontario college diploma in a non-business area or a<br />

university degree, with a minimum B average. Students are<br />

required to complete the five prescribed bridging courses<br />

and can do so in as little as one semester. Upon successful<br />

completion of these courses, students can apply directly to<br />

the third year of the BCom (Hons) degree program.<br />

Bridge completion requirements:<br />

• Business Math II;<br />

• Critical Thinking and Ethics;<br />

• Finance I;<br />

• Financial Accounting; and<br />

• Organizational Behaviour.<br />
