standard luncheon weddings are 4 hours and evening weddings are
5 hours, additional time is possible for evening weddings only.
guest numbers / minimum spend
guest numbers flexible but minimum spend of $12,500 applies on Friday
nights, $14,500 applies on Saturday nights and $10,500 applies on Sunday
nights, all other days are negotiable. a room hire for pull down and set up
cost of $500 is charged as room hire for weddings.
Please note that weddings booked in the month of January or on a Public
Holiday weekend have an increase in the minimum spend.

we offer wide-ranging menu options and packages; however, should you
wish to make a personal contribution to the creation of your wedding
menu our executive chef is available for consultation
beverages
beverages for weddings held at The Baths, Sorrento, can be charged “on
consumption” ie. you only pay for the beverages that you and your guests
drink or we have a beverage package for 5 hours @ $44 per guest.
beach access
the beach and the jetty fronting The Baths, Sorrento are both there for you
to enjoy, council regulations however prohibit the consumption of alcohol
on Crown land

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR FUNCTION BOOKINGS- 2012/13
Function prices are quoted at the time of inquiry. Changes may occur given seasonal
changes or extra inclusions.
Bookings
Bookings can only be confirmed after the booking form is signed, credit card authorisation
given and non-refundable deposit paid. The right to cancel your function if payment
conditions are not met is reserved. Receipt of your deposit confirms your acceptance of all
the terms and conditions herein.
Payment
Fifty percent of the confirmed function minimum spend is required one hundred and eighty
days before the function with the balance payment required no later than seven days before
the function. Any extra costs of the function including beverages, clean up and breakages
are payable upon invoice at the end of the function. A two percent credit card surcharge
applies.
Cancellation
Should you need to cancel the function for whatever reason, written notice is required and if
you cancel upon our receipt of your written notification: more than one hundred and eighty
days from the function date all monies but for the deposit will be repaid; between one
hundred and eighty days and seven days from the function date fifty percent of the
confirmed function minimum spend must be paid as a cancellation charge; and, within seven
days of the function date one hundred percent of the confirmed function minimum spend
must be paid as a cancellation charge. It is advisable that you take out wedding insurance to
cover your costs of any cancellation as we also reserve the right to recover any loss of profit.
Circumstances beyond our control
We shall not be responsible for any loss or damage or costs from the failure to provide any
facility or service as a result of force majeure or any other cause beyond our control and this
includes industrial disputes, orders, permits or regulations issued by any government authority,
riot, flood, fire, epidemic, alterations or redecorations.
Final Number
Confirmation of final numbers of guests attending and all final details are required seven days
prior to function. Should your number of guests fall below your confirmed minimum, final
account amounts will still be related to the minimum number given.
Loss of property
The Baths will not accept any responsibility for damages or loss of your or your guest’s property
left on the premises prior to, during or after the function, responsibility lies solely with the client.
Damages / Theft
The client accepts financial responsibility for any damage to the premises or damage or theft
of its fittings and equipment and breakages or theft of crockery, cutlery and glassware
caused by their guests or contractors in respect of a function.
Intoxification / Fines / Actions
The Baths reserves the right to refuse service to an intoxicated person and may request that
they leave the premises. The client must ensure that any drunk, violent or quarrelsome guest/s
leave the premises. The client agrees to reimburse The Baths in respect any fines or actions
received in respect of the function

Arriving by boat they all walked down “National Heritage Jetty”
that leads to the sandy beach in front of The Baths Sorrento...
The bridal party were singing...
“Wasn’t it a lovely day to be caught in the rain”

Although the ceremony on the beach was off due to rain,
knowing that their chosen venue, The Baths Sorrento offered “plan B”
under cover on the Eastern Deck free of charge meant that
Kara and Marcus were relaxed and excited.

Then a rainbow! and the sun came out!

The guests arrived at the reception where the tables
were all ready, dressed in white linen with candles
lit and a centre piece of small square glass vases
with white peony roses & tulips,

the linen serviettes tied with place cards depicting
a wooden heart, the guests name written on each.
The gorgeous white and green wedding cake on its table. The scene was set for the celebration of their dream come true.
The servery shelf laden with jars of green and white lollies with a
“Love” basket of bags for guests to help themselves if they wished to
take some home, added a fun addition to the decorations.

Magically the platters of Chef’s homemade canapés and trays of sparkling wine,
sav. blanc. white wine and beer were being enjoyed by all when the bridal party arrived.
The delicious restaurant style three-course meal and customer service second to none
was very much appreciated by Kara and Marcus and their guests.
All remarked on how special the food was and also said,
“The smart looking professional staff being relaxed and flexible on the night helped the formalities and jocularities flow”.

The ceiling of the Dance floor was lit by fairy lights, the entrance had a small tree of “Votive
candles” and floodlights at the front of The Baths across the beach and down the pier captured
the flood lit romantic ambience of the setting by night
An explosion of romance and beauty...

...especially with the Bridal Dance on the beach,
with the guests watching from above.
Then, guests and bridal party danced the night away...
The “after party” was at the Conti Nightclub just 5 minutes away on Ocean Beach Road and the rest went home to their various accommodations booked in Sorrento.
The Bride and Groom “they lived happily ever after”.
