Wet care
"Wet care" is used particularly
where very tough and adhesive
soiling must be removed. This
cleaning method is particularly applied
to stone floors, tiles and ceramic
floors as well as for linoleum
and PVC covers. Wet care is divided
up into two methods:
• Wet wiping, one-stage
• Wet wiping, two-stage
Single-stage wet wiping is suitable
for low levels of soiling of for floor
coverings which are sensitive
to moisture, such as raised floors
or in IT rooms.
According to the specifications,
in this method the floor covering is
cleaned in a single work step using
more or less strongly drained
cleaning textiles (mop, wiping
cloth, scouring or dusting cloth,
fleece cloth). The remaining moisture
is left to dry.
Two-stage wet wiping is suitable
for heavier levels of soiling. The
two-stage method corresponds to
the classic wet wiping method: In
the first stage, cleaning textiles
(cloths, mops, wiping cloths, wide
cleaning apparatus, etc.) apply
as much cleaning fluid as is necessary
to soften or dissolve strongly
adhering soiling. In the second
stage, any fluid and soiling remaining
on the floor covering is wiped
up using cleaning textiles.
Sufficient protection of the electrical
installation
The right selection of the device installation
units, matched to the appropriate
floor type, ensure that
the electrical installation is protected
against the ingress of moisture
and dirt. For this, the device installation
units are tested according to
EN 50085 and labelled appropriately.
