MFO 1. Job Search Assistance
Services for Wage Employment
Basic Management Course for PESO Managers.
The network of 165 PESOs is the backbone
of employment facilitation services in
Western Visayas. For the year, 182,122 out of
201,694 PESO-assisted job applicants were
placed for local employment in various companies
and LGU-initiated projects, reflecting a
90.3% placement rate.
Effectively strategized the institutionalization
of 8 PESOs from the target of 5, increasing
the number of institutionalized PESOs in
Western Visayas to 10.

To capacitate workers in the formal
and informal economy to engage into entrepreneurial
activities, either for livelihood formation
and enhancement, more than P16.6 Million
was released to fund the various livelihood
projects of both the informal and formal sector
workers benefiting 3,166 workers. The amount
released represents 100% utilization rate of the
total fund allocation.
With the combined effort of LGUs and
other employers in the private sector, 8,688 student-grantees
from the target of 8,443 were afforded
opportunity to earn and acquire work experience
and positive ethics under the Special
Program for the Employment of Students
(SPES) and paid a total of P17,873,237 reflecting
100% utilization rate.
MFO 2. Capacity-Building Services for Livelihood/Self-Employment
Likewise, P2.5 Million was released to
provide short-term employment to 860 disadvantaged
workers under the Community Employment
Program.
