Pressure regulator
REGLEAU G.C.
• Model with disc-yoke and diaphragm, guaranteeing a very high reliability and longevity.
• The REGLEAU pressure regulator automatically maintains the outlet pressure to the desired
set point.
• It allows to respect the standards of use of household appliances and systems of taps.
• It is suitable for all domestic, collective and industrial water installations.

PRESSURE REGULAToR REGLEAU G.C.
WATTS, the inventor of the regulator
1876 1930 1960
Invention, construction, and
commercialization of the
first pressure reducing
valve.
It was somewhat complicated,
took up a lot of spaces
(nearly 2 meters high), but
it works.
A half century had already gone by.
Everything was designed: the principle
of the direct action pressure reducing
valve with diaphragm operating the
flap valve, the interior shape,
and general look.
From this date, a large part of pressure
reducing valves made throughout the
world were inspired by (or copied) this
format.
Simple operating, performances, and
reliability are a reference for alls.
Saving water, acoustic comfort, standard
flow.
REGLEAU is interchangeable with a large
part of devices existing on the market.
Water represents a major part of household budgets.
Not wasting it makes for real savings, but do you
know that 30% of water used in a house is heated.
Less pressure means less water used, and therefore
less energy consumed.
Thanks to its low load losses, the REGLEAU pressure
reducing valves allow obtaining a normal flow rate
during simultaneous water drawn in several places.
The toilet flushing is less noisy and the taps no longer
splash.
Flow (in litres)
A considerable amount of the distributed water is directly
dumped into the sewer without even having been truly
used (see illustration above). Reducing the pressure while
obtaining comfort in use, allows real savings.
In all cases, make a regular check of the condition of the
tap and toilet flusher seals: a leak consumes a lot more
water than you think ! (sometimes up to 3 m 3 per day for a
private household).
Application scope:
REGLEAU maintains automatically the downstream to setted pressure point,
as long as the input pressure is greater.
It allows the respect of instructions of use for household electrical appliances and
plumbing fixtures.
It conforms to all domestic, collective, or industrial water installations.
Performances:
The pressure regulator function is insured by the diaphragm coupled to a disc-yoke.
The valve and diaphragm, largely dimensioned, allow precise adjustment from 1.5 to 5.5 bar.
The tare adjustment is easy and accurate with a screw-nut system.
Advantages:
Particularly adapted for collective water installations, REGLEAU provides comfort by reducing water circulation
sounds in respect of acoustic standards.
REGLEAU regulates the downstream pressure (with or without) water flow, without drawing up, the downstream
pressure varies only 8% of the upstream pressure variation.
The unique design of REGLEAU makes it insensitive to scale or impurities.
Diaphragm, spring, valve and seat are largely sized to ensure a precise and constant control while allowing high
flows.
Thanks to its low loss, REGLEAU allow, to get normal flow rate even if ther is many simultaneous points of use
demands.
operation:
Flow : During water flow, water pressure exercised on the diaphragm decreases, which allows the spring to relax.
The entire disc-yoke assembly moves towards the bottom to allow the water to pass.
Flow stoppage : When water flow stops, the downstream pressure pushes on the diaphragm again, the spring
goes back to its initial position, which leads to the valve closing, stopping water from flowing freely.
• A stainless spring ➊ large coils and high sensitivity:
It ensures a precise adjustment.
The pressure is controlled in a range from 1.5 to 5.5 bar.
• A diaphragm ➋ and a valve ➌ high temperature: resistant to high
temperatures (up to 70°C).
• A stainless steel seat ➍ : an exclusive feature that protects against
wear and aggressiveness of water. A guarantee of longevity.
• An assembly disc-yoke ➎ : monoblock mobile bronze spare,
the yoke has a largely dimensioned valve ➌ allowing performances
superior to the requirements of the standard.
Technical characteristics:
Max. inlet pressure: until 20 bar.
Adjustable: 1,5 to 5,5 bar.
Delivered presetted at 3 bar.
Max. temperature: 70°C.
Flow: until 40 m 3 /h.
Location and position:
Their place is usually at the inlet of the installation, but they are used everywhere where the water pressure must be
reduced.
They settled in all POSITIONS (horizontal, vertical, head up, upside down, head bowed, etc...).
The only requirement is to respect the direction of flow indicated by the arrow on the body.

PRESSURE REGULAToR REGLEAU G.C.
Temperature :
REGLEAU pressure regulators may be used for cold water or hot water up to 70°C in continuous operation.
If there is risk of freezing, they must be drained.
Setting:
The setting must be NO-FLOW. It means all flow downstream stopped.
REGLEAU pressure regulators are preset at the factory to 3 bar.
They are adjustable in a range between 1.5 and 5.5 bar.
To increase the pressure, tighten the adjusting screw (clockwise as you look at the screw from above).
To reduce the pressure, undo the adjusting screw (anticlockwise as you look at the screw from above), slightly open a
tap for a moment, close it again, then tighten the screw again until you obtain the desired pressure.
Maximum upstream pressure: 20 bar.
