Dale Carnegie wrote How to Win
Friends and Influence People in 1937.
Its message is as true today as it was 75
years ago. Carnegie believed success is
due 15 percent to professional knowledge
and 85 percent to “ the ability to
express ideas, to assume leadership
and to arouse enthusiasm among people”.
This session will help you make a
lasting impression when recruiting new
members, engaging alumni or landing
your dream job.
What’s the Problem
A discussion on
fraternities, ALCOHOL
& prevention
Sigma/Alpha/Epsilon: Hart
It’s no secret that research reveals fraternity
and sorority members are highrisk
drinkers. It’s no secret many of the
campus parties occur in fraternity facilities
or houses where our members live.
So what’s the problem with that How
can we prevent bad things from happening
Effective party-planning takes some
critical thinking. It also takes planning
and intentional efforts. It requires you
to understand philosophy, policy, procedures,
education and enforcement.
It’s not easy running a party the right
way. Or is it easy, and maybe we just
don’t understand or try to do it right
Win As Much As You Can
Sigma/Alpha/Epsilon: Hart
All you need to focus on is to win as
much as you can. It’s not the casino, but
it will still be fun.
