<strong>Tales</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Cocktail® <strong>Announces</strong> <strong>Spirited</strong> <strong>Seminars</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>2011</strong><br />

A schedule <strong>of</strong> over 50 seminars will examine a wide range <strong>of</strong> topics designed to in<strong>for</strong>m and<br />

inspire cocktail pr<strong>of</strong>essionals.<br />

March 1, <strong>2011</strong> – New Orleans – No two <strong>Tales</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Cocktails are ever <strong>the</strong> same, because every<br />

year brings a new and exciting schedule <strong>of</strong> seminars to stimulate <strong>the</strong> minds and taste buds <strong>of</strong><br />

cocktail lovers from around <strong>the</strong> world. This year <strong>Tales</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Cocktail®, <strong>the</strong> world’s premier<br />

cocktail festival, is shaking things up once again with a new batch <strong>of</strong> seminars. With over 50<br />

seminars, <strong>Tales</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Cocktail® will feature topics on bitters, <strong>the</strong> history <strong>of</strong> cocktail glasses,<br />

making house sodas and cocktail writing presented by some <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> biggest names in mixology<br />

such as Harold McGee, Mat<strong>the</strong>w Bax, Simon Ford, Paul Pacult and more.<br />

“Thanks to <strong>the</strong> unrelenting passion our presenters have <strong>for</strong> cocktails, we’ve been able to put<br />

toge<strong>the</strong>r ano<strong>the</strong>r exciting schedule <strong>of</strong> seminars,” said Paul Tuennerman, Co-Founder <strong>of</strong> <strong>Tales</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong> Cocktail. “Though people will be faced with some tough decisions on which seminars to<br />

attend, no matter which ones <strong>the</strong>y choose, <strong>the</strong>y can’t lose.”<br />

These seminars will join an already event intense schedule <strong>of</strong> events planned <strong>for</strong> <strong>Tales</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

Cocktail® <strong>2011</strong>, including <strong>the</strong> 5 th Annual <strong>Spirited</strong> Award® Ceremony, 26 unique <strong>Spirited</strong><br />

Dinners, a handful <strong>of</strong> <strong>Spirited</strong> Lunches, <strong>the</strong> USBG Bacardi Piña Colada Competition and much<br />

more. The <strong>Tales</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Cocktail® planning committee received hundreds <strong>of</strong> seminar proposals,<br />

each presenting a thought provoking take on <strong>the</strong> cocktail world. The seminar selection committee<br />

spent weeks evaluating seminar ideas in order to indentify those that would give a broad range <strong>of</strong><br />

material to satisfy <strong>the</strong> very diverse group <strong>of</strong> <strong>Tales</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Cocktail® attendees.<br />
