Then visit the Forbidden City which was the Imperial Palace for the Ming and the Qing Dynasty with 800 buildings and over 9,000 rooms. Afternoon visit the Summer Palace to see the second home of the Imperial Court, with its huge collection of over 1,000 paintings, and its charming gardens with marble pagodas and delicately arched bridges. Boat trip is included at Summer Palace. Evening visit to Beijing Opera. Hutong ride is included today also. Weds 7 th July Early Breakfast and check-out of the hotel. Early rise to see Tai’ Chi in Temple of Heaven which is said to be the most beautiful building in Beijing, then the Great Wall at Juyongguan Section. The Great Wall is China’s most famous landmark and the only man-made structure visible from outer space. It was built during the Qin Dynasty to protect the country from invaders, and has a total length of 6,000 miles. The terra-cotta army (or in simplified Chinese ‘bīngmǎ yǒng’; literally "soldier and horse funerary statues) are the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shi Huang the First Emperor of China. The terracotta figures were discovered in 1974 by some local farmers near Xi'an, Shaanxi province, China near the Mausouleum of the second Ming Emperor.
