Important Information<br />

It is the moral duty of all students to maintain academic<br />

environment in the <strong>college</strong>. Keeping themselves disciplined,<br />

helping maintain cleanliness, being respectful, helpful,<br />

considerate to their fellow students is what <strong>college</strong> life is all about.<br />

Ragging is strictly prohibited: Hon'ble Supreme Court of India has<br />

strictly banned ragging in educational institutions. Ragging<br />

includes disorderly conduct whether by words, spoken or written<br />

or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating and handling<br />

with rudeness any other student which is likely to cause hardship<br />

or psychological harm or raise fear or apprehension in the fresher<br />

or junior student. The authorities would expel students indulging<br />

in such activities.<br />

Eligibility to appear in University Exams: A student is required to<br />

attend atleast 75% of lectures delivered in each subject offered by<br />

her, 75% of periods assigned to practicals must be attended.<br />

A student who remains absent for more than 7 days at a stretch<br />

without sanctioned leave is liable to have her name struck off the<br />

<strong>college</strong> rolls. If the student's name is struck off the <strong>college</strong> rolls,<br />

she is required to seek re-admission (after paying admission fee<br />

all over again.<br />

Application for sick leave for more than 5 days will have to be<br />

supported by a Medical Certificate from a Govt. Dispensary/ Hospital.<br />

Scholarships are awarded to meritorious students. They are to<br />

contact the teachers Incharge for concessions & scholarships to<br />

make use of this facility.<br />

An All Round Best Student Award is given to the student of the<br />

outgoing class during the Annual Prize Giving Function.<br />

Meritorious students should contact the Prize-Distribution<br />

Function Incharge in order to be aware of the conditions needed<br />

to be fulfilled for this award.<br />

Identity cards are issued by the library. Students must get it made<br />

whenever the notice is put up by the Librarian.<br />

Rules & Regulations for Admission<br />

for B.P.Ed. - One Years Course<br />

Nomenclature of the Course<br />

Bachelor of Physical Education: (One Year Course<br />

after Graduation).<br />

Duration of the Course<br />

The duration of the course for the Bachelor's Degree in Physical<br />

Education shall be one year.<br />

Intake of Students<br />

50 eligible girl students shall be taken.<br />

Eligibility Conditions for Admission to the Course.<br />

A candidate who has passed one of the following examinations<br />

shall be eligible to join the Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.<br />

Ed.) – A One Year Course in the University.<br />

a. A Bachelor's or Post Graduate Degree in any discipline of Panjab<br />

University obtaining not<br />

Less than 45% marks.<br />

b. Bachelor's & Post<strong>graduate</strong> degree in any discipline of another<br />

University recognize by the Syndicate as equivalent to (a)<br />

obtaining not less than 45% marks.<br />

c. Provided that the candidate admitted under clause (a) or (b)<br />

Qualifies in the standard Physical Efficiency Test and<br />

participation in at least on game/sport at Inter-College level.<br />

d. Admission Criterion: The admission to the B.P. Ed. – One Year<br />

Course after Graduation shall be made on the basis of merit<br />

computed by the following criterion provided she fulfils other<br />

conditions (Academic, Sports Participation and Standard<br />

Physical Efficiency Test) as per the rules/ regulations of the<br />

University:
