The various concession scholarship
& other facilities are as under
1. General student: concession in fee;( Refer to common fee
concession application form given in the Prospectus). Half tuition
fee concession is given to 10% of admitted students.
2. Half free brother / sister concession: A student whose elder
brother / sister is paying full fee in any Govt. College of
Chandigarh Administration, should apply for concession within
15 days after getting admission in their respective college / same
college.
3. Concessions for descendant of Kargil martyrs / permanently
disabler concession in college fee and hostel fee will be given to
descendants of Kargil martyrs / permanently disable vide letter
No. misc./A-6/35013725 dated 18.4.2007 received from the
Punjab University.
4. SC/ST Student: All SC/Stare eligible for free books and
stationery. Under this scheme, the Education Department,
Chandigarh Administration provides free books and stationery
to each student under:
1) Arts – Rs. 250/-
2) Commerce – Rs. 250/-
3) Science – Rs. 350/-
5. Non Hindi Speaking Scholarship: To Encourage the study of
Hindi in Non-Hindi Speaking state and to make available to the
Government of these state suitable personnel for teaching and
other posts where knowledge of Hindi essential , Scholarship are
sanctioned under the Govt. of India state for post-metric studies
in Hindi. Five Scholarship are given by the Chandigarh
Administration as follow: Rs. 500/- p.m for B.A/B.Sc/B.Com.
(Pass, Courses & Honours) l, ll, lll Rs. 1000/-p.m for M.A. l, ll
6. Meritorious students Scholarship under the Govt. of India
national Scholarship scheme and UT state merit Scholarship
scheme meritorious students are given Scholarship @Rs.100
p.m, of which 86 Scholarships are given under the Govt. national
Scholarship scheme and 21 Scholarship are given under the UT
merit Scholarship.
Other Scholarship/Stipends
The cases of all eligible students are recommended for grant of
following Scholarships / Stipend /Awards:
1. Indian Council for Cultural Relation Scholarship.
2. Post-matric Scholarship for SC/ST student.
3. Award Scholarship out of P.U students' relief fund.
4. Award of P.U sports stipend.
5. Scholarships are also given to student whose earning parent dies
and the family income therefore falls within the prescribed
income limit as given in the centrally sponsored scheme of postmatric
Scholarship for SC/ST student.
6. Award of Chandigarh (UT) Govt. Merit Scholarship (Eligibility to
be determined on the basis of result of Final Examination).
7. National merit Scholarship DPI (C) Punjab.
8. State Merit Scholarship DPI (C) Punjab.
9. Post-merit studies in Hindi DHE, Chandigarh Administration.
10. Students' Aid fund.
Code of Conduct and Discipline
1. Students are expected to maintain proper discipline in and
outside the class room /college campus.
2. Students must be punctual and regular in the class & House
Examinations.
3. Parents are requested to attend the parent–teacher Meeting
and remain in touch with the family members to keep track
of their ward's academic performance.
4. Students are expected to be courteous and respectful
toward all the staff members.
5. Use of the Mobile Phone in the class room and library is
strictly prohibited.
6. Smoking, drinking and playing cards on the college campus
is strictly prohibited.
7. Disciplinary action will be taken against those who are
found guilty of causing damage to the college property.
8. Students must make it a point to read the Notice Board daily.
Ignorance of orders/notices duly displayed on the Notice
Board shall not be accepted as an excuse for noncompliance.
9. Students violating rules and resorting to indiscipline are
liable to be punished in the form of heavy fine, withdrawal of
concession or stipends and even expulsion from the
college in extreme cases.
10. Students who are under-age and do not have a valid driving
license for a two wheeler are not allowed to drive as per the
direction of the Hon'ble Punjab and Haryana high court.
They are advised not to bring their vehicle to the college.
11. Students must park their vehicle at the cycle/scooter stand.
Plying of vehicle on the college campus is not allowed.
