CUTTING GUIDE
Fabric A
Block Center & Blocks
• Cut one 32” square. See instructions to cut the center square on point.
• Cut two 8-1/2” x 42” strips. Sub-cut eight 8-1/2” squares.
Fabric B
Blocks
• Cut two 8-1/2” x 42” strips. Sub-cut eight 8-1/2” squares.
Fabric C
Blocks
• Cut two 8-1/2” x 42” strips. Sub-cut eight 8-1/2” squares.
Fabric D
Blocks and Outer Borders
• Fussy Cut four 8-1/2” squares, centering a bouquet in each square.
• Cut eight 6-1/2” x 42” strips. Piece the strips together to make two 6-1/2” x 76” strips and two 6-1/2” x 79-1/4” strips.
Fabric E
Block Corners
• Cut four 6-5/8” x 42” strips. Sub-cut the strips into twenty-four 6-5/8” squares. Cut each square across one diagonal to make forty-eight
triangles.
Fabric F
Block Corners
• Cut two 1-1/2” x 21” strips.
• Cut two 1-1/2” x 23” strips.
• Cut three 6-5/8” x 42” strips. Sub-cut the strips into sixteen 6-5/8” squares. Cut each square across one diagonal to make thirty-two
triangles.
Fabric G
Block Corners
• Cut two 6-5/8” x 42” strips. Sub-cut the strips into eight 6-5/8” squares. Cut each square across one diagonal to make sixteen triangles.
Fabric H
Block Corners and Binding
• Cut two 6-5/8” x 42” strips. Sub-cut the strips into eight 6-5/8” squares. Cut each square across one diagonal to make sixteen triangles.
• Cut nine 2-1/2” x 42” strips for the binding.
Fabric I
Setting Triangles
• Cut one 13” x 42” strip. Sub-cut the strip into one 13” square. Cut the square across both diagonals to make four corner-setting triangles.
Cut two 12-1/8” squares. Cut the squares across one diagonal to make four side-setting triangles.
• Cut two 12-1/8” x 42” strips. Sub-cut the strips into five 12-1/8” squares. Cut each square across one diagonal to make ten side-setting
triangles. (Total of fourteen side triangles.)
Backing
Cut two 100” x 42” strips. Sew the strips together to make one 84" x 100" piece for the backing.

Instructions
To make the center square on point, measure
over 16” from the upper left corner on the
32” Fabric A square and mark. Measure
down from the upper left corner of the 32”
Fabric A square 16” and mark. Draw a diagonal
line connecting the two points (Fig.
1). Cut along the line. Repeat with the remaining
three corners to create a square on
point with the lighthouse print running vertical
as shown with the arrow (Fig. 2). Trim
this block to measure 21” square.
Sew one 1-1/2” x 21” Fabric F strip to each side
of the 21” Fabric A square. Sew one 1-1/2”
x 23” Fabric F strip to the top and bottom of
the 21” Fabric A square to complete the 23”
center block.
Sew one Fabric E triangle to each side of one 8-
1/2” Fabric C square (Fig. 3). Sew one Fabric
E triangle to the top and bottom of the 8-
1/2” Fabric C square (Fig. 4). Trim the block
to measure 11-3/4” x 11-3/4” to make one
C/F Block.
Repeat Step 3 to make eight C/F Blocks squares
total.
Repeat Step 3 to make four A/E Blocks, using
the four 8-1/2” Fabric A squares and sixteen
Fabric E triangles (Fig. 5).
Repeat Step 3 to make four A/G Blocks, using
the four 8-1/2” Fabric A squares and sixteen
Fabric G triangles (Fig. 6).
Repeat Step 3 to make eight Block B/F squares
using eight 8-1/2” Fabric B squares and
thirty-two Fabric F triangles (Fig. 7).
Repeat Step 3 to make four Block D/H squares
using four 8-1/2” Fabric D squares and sixteen
Fabric H triangles (Fig. 8).
Refer to the quilt photo and Figure 9 to lay out
the twenty-eight 11-3/4” blocks, the 23”
center block, fourteen side setting triangles
and four corner setting triangles in diagonal
rows. Sew the blocks and triangles together
to make the 64” x 79-1/4” quilt top.
Sew one 6-1/2” x 79-1/4” Fabric D strip to each
side of the quilt top. Sew one 6-1/2” x 76”
Fabric D strip to the top and bottom of the
quilt top.
Layer, quilt and bind as desired.
