Am I allowed to attend a session I didn’t register for in advance
We encourage you to choose your sessions in advance, using the online schedule builder at
conference2012.ewb.ca! This tool helps match sessions to your profile, creating a personalized
schedule for your time at conference. It also provides prep material for each session you choose. To
help conference run smoothly for all delegates, we recommend that you avoid changing your
schedule day-of.
Do I have to stay with my chapter during sessions and keynotes
No, we encourage everyone to engage with delegates from other chapters!
There are two sessions I’d like to attend that are happening at the same time.
How do I choose
You can ask your chapter, or other delegates, for help! If you and another delegate each go to one
session, you can share the session highlights with each other afterwards. You can also prepare
questions in advance that your friend can ask during the other session.
If I attend an English session, can I ask questions in French
Yes, there will be bilingual session facilitators, and questions can be presented in either language.
How can I find out about last minute announcements (i.e. schedule or room
changes) while at conference
Announcements will be communicated through text message, posters, and our online
communications media. (http://conference2012.ewb.ca)
I’m not attending leadership day. Can I get accommodation at the hotel on
Tuesday night
No, we only have enough rooms for delegates attending leadership day. There are many other
hotels in the area where you can find alternate accommodation.
Will there be breakfast provided at the hotel
No, all delegates must provide their own breakfast. See the list of nearby restaurants and grocery
stores to plan your breakfast options.
Which days is dinner included
Dinner is provided on Thursday and Saturday. Following the MOE on Friday, delegates can find a
variety of dining options in the Byward market area.
