What We Believe 

Kids in Ministry International, Inc. desires 

to bring awareness to children and adults of how 

God views boys and girls as partners in ministry 

and functioning members of the body of Christ. 

Our intent is to teach, train, and equip 

children to do the works of Jesus and release them 

in their spiritual giftings and callings. Therefore 

we feel it is imperative for us to teach, train, and 

equip adults to minister to children, instructing 

them how to mentor and activate kids in the 

things of the Spirit. The goal is to help boys and 

girls find an active place in all areas of ministry 

and to inspire them to become functioning members 

of the body of Christ while they are still children. 

Those areas include evangelism, missions, 

the gifts of the Spirit, worship, prayer, healing the 

sick, and much more (Luke 4:18). 

We are convinced that anything of and by 

the Spirit God has for adults is also available to 

children. It is our opinion according to the Scriptures 

children are fully capable of participating in the 

gospel. This includes salvation through the blood 

of Jesus, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, water 

baptism, communion, operating in the gifts of the 

Spirit, and any other scriptural doctrine or concept 

when these things are taught simply and on their 

level of understanding. 

We believe childhood is the time God 

designed for people to accept the gospel, and we 

must all become as little children to receive the 

kingdom of heaven and that He places great value 

on the salvation of children (Matthew 18:1-14). 

Kids in Ministry International, Inc. believes 

the body of Christ has a mandate from 

heaven to teach children the Word of God and to 

exhort them to become doers of the Word and not 

hearers only (John 21:15, Deuteronomy 6:1-9, 

6:20-21). 

We believe children are a part of God’s 

end time army and the “great commission” of 

preaching the gospel to all nations, laying hands 

on the sick, raising the dead, speaking in tongues, 

and other areas of the believer’s ministry fully applies 

to born again children as well as adults (Matthew 

28:19-20, Mark 16:15-16, Acts 2:16-17). 

We believe according to scriptural example 

(Judges 16:26, Matthew 2:2-7) children will play 

a major role in ushering in the last great revival

Meet Becky Fischer, founder and director 

of Kids in Ministry International. Becky who has 

served as a children’s pastor since 1991, received 

Jesus as her Savior and the infilling of the Holy 

Spirit at an early age. She knows first-hand that 

children can be touched and used by God. 

Becky spent 23 years in business before 

answering the call to full-time ministry. She was 

a children’s pastor for Word of Faith Church and 

Outreach Center in Bismarck, ND for eight years 

before moving to North Carolina to join Tasch 

Ministries International, which had taken over 

700 children and teens on mission trips. She was 

later employed as the children’s pastor and as a 

graphic artist by MorningStar Publications and 

Ministries, Inc., now called MorningStar Fellowship 

Church in Wilkesboro, NC. 

Becky has trained thousands of teens, 

kids, and church workers through conferences, 

Bible schools, mission trips, churches, and resource 

materials. She is the author of eight dynamic 

curriculums and the book Redefining Children’s 

Ministry in the 21st Century. Becky is founder of 

the School of Supernatural Children’s Ministry, a 

training program for those wanting to be educated 

in the unique form of supernatural children’s ministry 

for which KIMI is known. 

She has appeared on the 700 Club, Sid 

Roth Show, and Elijah List’s Prophetic TV. She 

has also appeared on Good Morning America, 

CNN Prime Time, The Glenn Beck Show, Fox

Leaders Overview

We have two primary goals in this lesson. 

They are: 1) covering Israel in prayer, and 2) 

creating an awareness and love for Israel in the 

youth you minister to. We have approximately one 

service to accomplish this in, which is not nearly 

enough time to do everything that should be done. 

In many ways this is a new generation of 

Christian teens and young adults who frequently 

have a negative viewpoint of who Israel is. They 

have not been taught what her significance is to 

the world and to us as Christian believers. They 

often have a very limited understanding of their 

Jewish roots in their faith in Jesus. After all Jesus 

was a Jew, which puts a whole new spin on the 

evening news. 

Derek Prince was quoted as saying, “You 

cannot fully understand the Bible unless you know 

something about Israel. And if you are confused 

about Israel, you are confused about the Bible.” 

With no understanding or love for Israel, where 

will we be politically in just a few years when this 

generation is old enough to vote 

We have attempted to pack as much relevant 

present day information into this event as possible. 

We also want to leave a significant amount of time 

for your group to actually spend time praying for 

Israel. But this is intended to be a very interactive 

session as well. The teachings are short in order to 

leave room for group discussions. But in addition 

you are encouraged to tell your youth to bring their 

smart-phones, ipads, laptops, and notebooks to this 

event. Hopefully you have wireless internet in your 

youth building. 

Each discussion will end with ideas of 

where your group can go on the internet (Facebook, 

Twitter, Google, or YouTube) in order to gather as 

much info as possible in a short period of time for 

their discussions. You will know what to have them 

look up by watching for the icons for the internet at 

the given sections.

ADVANCE Day of Prayer PREPARATION 

for Israel 

Room Decorations 

& Ambience 

In order to create a special atmosphere 

for this event, consider selecting a team of young 

people with the assignment of decorating your 

room or stage just for one day with imagery, icons 

visuals and photos that will remind them of both 

ancient biblical Israel and present day Israel. 

We encourage you to gather shofars, 

prayer shawls, menorahs, Torahs, or pictures of 

any of these items for you teens to use or merely 

look at. It adds significantly to the interest for the 

subject matter and the ambience as they begin to 

gather into your room. You may even want to create 

one wall of your room to resemble the western 

wall in Israel where the Jewish people pray daily. 

Make paper and pens available to take 

notes with as they gather information over the internet, 

as well as to journal their thoughts, prayers, 

and prophetic words they get during the event.

Make copies of the Scripture Handout on pages 

18-19 for every person who attends your service. 



Music and dance 

SEARCH FOR: “HORAH” 

Before your service begins (or when it is 

over) you may want to have some fun with the 

whole group teaching them how to do some Jewish 

dances like the Horah. Ask some of your teen 

girls to learn how to do the steps prior to the meeting 

so they can lead the group. There are lots of 

videos on Youtube to show them the steps. However, 

if you are limited on time don’t do this at the 

expense of valuable teaching and prayer time. 

A Taste of Israel 

Consider having a small table with some 

pieces of unleavened bread. Pita bread or Matzoh 

crackers can be found in a local grocery store. Or 

as an alternative, some bagels and cream cheese! 

Consider asking someone to roast a piece of 

lamb, then cut it up small pieces and allow the 

children to have a bite. Serve some grape juice 

with it all as the “fruit of the vine.” 

You may have other ideas of your own. 

But if you are interested in making this a complete 

cultural experience attempt to engage all 

five physical senses in your Jewish experience 

including taste. And of course, in addition to 

your Matzoh bread, remember pizza is made of 

unleavened bread too! But if you want it to be 

completely kosher do not mix cheese (dairy 

products) with your meats. It’s cheese and 

veggies only!

ADVANCE PREP: 


1. Bring as many current newspapers or magazines as 

possible with Israel as headline news, either positive or 

negative. 

2. Have a large world map posted on your wall. Be sure 

to point out Israel’s location and size at some point during 

your service. 

Why Is Israel Important 

Today is our Day of Prayer for the Peace 

of Jerusalem. The obvious question is why would 

we bother to pray for Israel After all if you listen to 

the news, they seem to be in the center of conflict all 

the time. Depending on your viewpoint, they seem to 

be CAUSING the conflicts! 

It’s simply amazing that even though Israel 

and the Jewish people go back thousands of years 

they are still the focus on much of the news we 

see on TV and newspapers today. The whole world 

has its attention on Israel. Half the world hates 

Israel and the other half are friends of Israel. Most 

born again Christians love and support the Jews. 

It’s important to know why because entire nations 

actually go to war over their love or hate of this 

tiny nation. Let’s find out a few facts about them:

Israel is not big at all. It should make us 

wonder why such a tiny nation draws so much attention. 

So the next logical question is, “Who are 

the Jews anyway” Where did they come from, 

and why are they so important in the world As 

Christians we should be even more curious because 

the whole Bible, both Old and New Testaments, 

were written by Jews. Our spiritual history 

as Christians comes through the Jewish people. 

Everything God wanted to tell the world concerning 

His plan of salvation He told through the Jews. 

This is why the Bible says “salvation is of the 

Jews” (John 4:22). 

Jesus was born of Jewish parents in the 

nation of Israel. Jesus was a Jew. Jesus was sent to 

tell the Jews about salvation. Every Bible hero we 

have ever had—David, Moses, Samson, Samuel, 

Gideon, Esther, Ruth, Daniel—were Jews. All of 

Jesus’ disciples were Jews. God was the one who 

started the Jewish nation in the first place. He must 

have had a reason. Not only that, but our whole 

future as believers is tied to what happens to the 

Jews and Israel!

Israel is called the “Promised Land” because 

God promised He would give it to Abraham, the 

father of the Jewish nation. God told Israel, “You are 

my Chosen people” (Deuteronomy 14:2). He didn’t 

choose them because they were big or even great, 

but because He loved them and wanted to keep His 

promises to their ancestors (Deuteronomy 7:7-8).

history, but highlights some of the more significant 

events of Jewish persecution. We avoided the 

highly violent and graphic photos that could have 

been included so as not to be too offensive. 

Comments are included each page to let 

you know what event you are looking at, but if 

you want more information of each historical 

crisis you can find them on pages 16-17 of this 

manual. Because we have provided so many other 

activities for you in this lesson, we chose to keep 

our comments brief. 

You can easily open up a discussion with 

your group on the persecution of Jewish people 

and how it ties into biblical history.

God's Chosen People 

A Biblical Perspective 

There are at least five biblical reasons 

God has chosen the Jewish people as His special 

people. Let’s see if we can learn why they are so 

important to God because if they are important to 

God then they need to be important to us! 

#1. They are the historic chosen people of 

God starting with Abraham, the father of faith. 

“You only have I chosen among all the families of 

the earth,” (Amos 3:2). He invested a lot of time 

and energy into finding people who would believe 

and trust in Him as their one and only true God. 

All the rest of humanity worshiped multiple gods 

continuously. 

#2. They are guardians of God’s special 

revelation, the Old Testament Law as well as the 

keepers of the Promises as given through Moses. 

The Jews were the only people in the world who 

had written down their religious beliefs in a book. 

In fact, they were known, and sometimes ridiculed 

by the Gentiles, as the “people of the Book.” 

“[They] are Israelites to whom belong. . . the 

covenants and the giving of the Law. . . and the 

promises,” (Romans 9:4). 

#3. The Jews are special because the Messiah 

himself (Jesus) Who was a Jew came first to 

the Jews. “They are the descendants of our great 

ancestors, and they are the earthly family into 

which Christ was born, who is God over all (Romans 

9:5).” 

#4. The Bible compares the Jewish people 

to an olive tree, and tells us that everyone who 

comes into salvation are branches from other 

trees that are grafted in to the main root (Romans 

11:17-24). 

#5. Whenever the disciples and followers 

of Christ went into a new city or nation to tell 

others about Jesus, they were to preach salvation 

to the Jewish people first. Whenever the Apostle 

Paul went on a missionary journey he preached 

first to the Jews, then Gentiles. It was because the 

whole gospel message had come down through 

their own Jewish history and they were to have the 

first chance to receive the good news about Jesus. 

(Have a student read Romans 1:16.) “The gospel 

is the power of God unto salvation to everyone 

who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”

Conservative radio show host Joyce Kaufman has served as 

chief of staff to West, a Tea Party-backed political insurgent from 

Florida’s southern coast. Kaufman is a local staple on Sunshine 

State airwaves, talking politics from 12pm-3pm on WFTL as part 

of a lineup that includes heavyweights such as Lou Dobbs and 

Michael Savage. 

Take 5 minutes to Tweet: 

Allow your students 3 minutes to make posts on 

their Facebook and Twitter pages telling their 

friends about praying for Israel. Have them share 

one or two of the reasons for supporting Israel 

they have just discovered today. After the service 

have them check FB and Twitter again to see what 

kind of responses they got from their friends. 

Discuss both the positive and negative comments. 

We have deliberately brought in a secular viewpoint 

because your teens will find themselves 

engaged in conversations with non-Christians who 

do not accept biblical arguments as particularly 

valid. So they should be armed with additional 

information for such encounters. 

However although Kaufman makes valid points, 

exhort your teens that we do not want to adopt her 

confrontational, even angry, delivery. It is only 

her concepts that we want to pay attention to. We 

should always attempt to speak with confidence 

and authority but respect towards everyone, including 

those we disagree with. 

Write it Down: 

Hand out paper and pencils and encourage your 

youth to write down Kaufman’s seven points and 

commit them to memory when they have time. 

Discussion: 

1. Although this video is from a secular perspective 

rather than biblical, what information in it 

confirms that the hand and protection of God is on 

Israel

to even the secular points Kaufman makes

Time to pray

This day, of course, has been set aside as 

a day of prayer. So no matter what else you do to 

educate your teens and create interest and discussion, 

you must deliberately plan your schedule 

so that there is plenty of time to actually pray. If 

you have only a one hour service, we suggest a 

minimum of 15-20 minutes out of that hour. If you 

have two hours, plan 30-45 minutes at least. You 

know your group and their level of spiritual interest 

in prayer, so plan accordingly. 

If you have not done it already, hand out 

copies of the scriptures to each person. Depending 

on the teens, they may or may not be familiar with 

“praying the scriptures” over Israel. So prayer 

time could putter out fairly quickly when they run 

out of things to pray out of their natural minds. 

But more importantly we want them to know the 

promises God has made over Israel. So teaching 

them to pray the specific scriptures over Israel 

becomes not just more effective than praying out 

of our human intellect, but it is more powerful 

because we are coming into agreement with God 

over what He has already said about Israel. 

With this in mind we have included a 

couple of pages (18-19) of scriptures about Isreal. 

This is by no means an exhaustive list, and we 

encourage you to add any more that your hcurch 

may be handing out or that you have available. The 

point is you want to arm your teens with concrete 

prophetic promises from God. Again depending on 

your group, you may have to actually show them 

how to take a scripture and convert it into a prayer. 

Feel free to “practice” with a couple of verses until 

they are comfortable with the idea. 

Once they are ready, depending on the size 

of your group and the acoustics of your room, you 

may want to set up a couple of open mics allowing 

the teens to use them as they pray so they are 

clearly heard. It is difficult to join in group prayer 

when several have soft voices. If others want to 

shout their “Amen’s” and other words of agreement, 

they easily drown out the pray-er. 

You can sit or stand, come to the front, or 

if you went to the effort of creating an imitation 

“wailing wall” you might even encourage your 

students to go to the wall in effigy and pray over 

Israel. To inspire your students we have provided a 

video included as an MP4 of one of our children’s 

and youth conferences where we did this very 

thing. It was one of the most powerful prayer times 

we’ve ever had. Showing this video in advance 

seeing their peers praying fervently over Israel 

may be the spark you need to pry them from shyness 

to boldness and into Spirit led prayer.

Drive Through 

Jewish History

“The History of the Jews” 

PPT Slide 2: Slaves in Egypt. This is the first time we read that the whole nation of Israel 

was being treated cruelly. Remember they were slaves in Egypt. Joseph, a Jew, had great favor 

with the Pharaoh of Egypt and the Jews were protected and treated good because of him. But 

hundreds of years after Joseph died, and the Jews the slaves of the Pharaoh. He became afraid 

because there were so many Jews, so he made their work harder. That’s persecution. Then 

there was the little issue of making bricks. The Pharaoh increased their quota of bricks and 

took away their supplies to make them with! He also decided to kill all the baby boys under 

the age of two to keep the population down. I’d say that’s pretty ugly persecution! But there 

was one special baby boy whose mother hid him. 

PPT Slide 3: It was Moses, and the Pharaoh’s daughter found him in the River and rescued 

him. That’s the good part of the story, but the bad part was thousands of little Jewish baby 

boys were killed for no good reason at all! Who remembers beautiful Queen Esther 

PPT Slide 4: Help me tell the story. Haman hated the Jews and Esther was a Jew. But nobody 

knew it. God had miraculously made Esther the Queen and she had great favor with the King. 

But Haman tricked the king into killing the Jews. Esther found out about it, and secretly called 

all the Jewish people to fast and pray for their deliverance. A miracle of God happened. Haman 

was killed instead of the Jews, and the law was overturned. It was a very close call. For 

once they escaped, but that was one of the few times it happened. Off and on throughout the 

Bible, the Jewish people were persecuted by various rulers, and even during the time when 

Jesus lived, the Jews had been conquered and were being ruled by Rome. 

PPT Slide 5: Seventy years after Jesus had lived and died the Romans increased their persecution 

of the Jews. They conquered Jerusalem and completely destroyed their Temple. 

PPT Slide 6: It was the same Temple where Jesus and the disciples had gone so often to 

preach and teach. It was the Temple where He healed the man with the crippled hand, where 

he overturned the table of the money changers, and argued with the Pharisees. And now it was 

gone because of an ongoing hatred of the Jewish people. Then comes a terrible time in history 

and a time we should be greatly ashamed of as Christians.

PPT Slide 7: During a time in world history called “The Middle Ages” Christians had grown 


greatly in numbers. There soon became thousands more Gentile Christians than Jewish believers. 

Nobody had Bibles in those days to study to Word of God for themselves for guidance 

in their lives. They were basically left on their own to figure out how to live as Christians. 

Unfortunately they didn’t know scriptures like what we learned today in Genesis 3:12, “I will 

bless those who bless you, and those who curse you I will curse.” They greiveously persecuted 

the Jews and it became strong in other European nations and spilled over into Spain. 

PPT Slide 8: In the exact same year of 1492 that Columbus was discovering America, Spain 

was persecuting the Jews in their country. They either had to leave Spain, convert to Christianity, 

or die. The truth is, for thousands of years in one place or another hatred of the Jews has 

always been alive and well somewhere on planet earth. There is no time to tell you about all of 

them. But we’ll cover one more in the early 1900s. 

PPT Slide 9: It was in Russia. Thousands of Jews were killed, not just by the government, but 

by mobs of people in the streets who attacked and killed them with the blessing of the Russian 

government. These killings were called “Pograms.” 

PPT Slide 10: Then of course one of the greatest tragedies in modern history was the Holocaust 

in Germany under the maniacal Jew-hater Adolph Hitler, whom history now tells us had 

a little bit of Jewish blood in him through his father whom he never met. The tragic atrocities 

which ended in the deaths of six million Jews—men, women, and children—is well documented 

and was the cause of World War II. 

PPT Slide 11: Adolf Hitler created the concentration camps where Jewish people were taken, 

treated very cruely, and very few escaped alive. 

PPT Slide 12: We wish we could say that the Holocaust was the last of the persecution of 

the Jews, but the truth is it is still going on today. It’s the basis of the war in the Middle East. 

Some of you may have had moms, dads, brothers, sisters, or uncles in the wars over there. 

PPT Slide 13: They are very complicated wars but when you get to the bottom of the problem, 

this issue is still hatred for Israel and the Jews. Why is it this way It’s because God has 

always had a plan for Jerusalem and His chosen people. The same Mount of Olives Jesus 

stood on with the disciples the day he left this earth and ascended into heaven is the exact 

same mountain his feet will touch when he comes back to earth again. 

PPT Slide 14: God has used the Jewish people to bring His eternal plan to earth. The Devil 

knows this, and is doing everything he can to prevent it from coming to pass, but he is defeated! 

In the meantime, it’s extremely important that we as born again Christians remember 

our Jewish friends, pray for them, help them in every way we can, and even support them 

politically. God was very clear when he said, “I will bless those who bless you, and those who 

curse you I will curse!” We have to decide if we will bless Israel or curse them Even right 

now today the Jews are fighting for their very lives right in their own home. But in countries 

all around the world, including ours, there is a new wave of people who hate Israel.

1. Zechariah 2:8 For this is what the Lord Almighty says: “After he has honored me and has 

sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches 

you touches the apple of his eye. 

2. Psalms 102:13 You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; 

the appointed time has come. 

3. Psalms 102:16 For the Lord will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory. 

4. Isaiah 62:1 For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem’s sake I will not remain quiet, 

till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch. 

5. Isaiah 62:6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; they will never be silent day
