John Adams: I first met Sheldon nearly 20 years ago on a trip to Arklow with Alan Bayliss [Quarry loft fame ] and the late great Taffy Bowen, while Alan and Taffy were
cutting the ribbon for the Opening of the new Club house, Sheldon took me to see his birds , which was just round the corner from the new Club house. I was immediately
impressed not only with his birds but also his knowledge and enthusiasam. From that day to this we have remained the best of friends enjoying many trips to various parts of
Europe. When Sheldon's business prospered he decided to go to Belgium and source the best . By striking up a friendship with the great Belgium flyer Andre Roodhooft he
purchased sons daughters, brothers sisters of all his best birds, and Andre introduced Sheldon to the man himself Louis Janssen, and it wasn’t long before direct Janssens were
heading to Arklow, Sheldon did'nt stop there, always looking and listening for great performances and not resting until he has the bloodlines. Over the years Sheldon has sent
over 'specials' to try and sons and daughters of these have won the following for me. 1st 2nd 8th North Thames North North Road Combine 202 miles, 1st Club 2nd NTNRC
Thurso , 2nd Club, 4th NTNRC Thurso 496 miles, 3rd RPRA Yearling race, 27th & 29th RPRA Young bird One Loft race last 2 years, and many Club and fed positions. These
birds will win from 70 miles to 500 whatever the weather. Sheldon is a very hard task master and no matter what he pays, if he is not completely satisfied they will soon be
disposed of.
Tommy Roberts, Dublin - At the start of 2008 season I purchased 18 y/birds from Universal Lofts. Success was instant . Out of 11 races flown I won 9 and 7 of my winners
were stock from Universal Lofts. This was my first year back in the sport after a 12 year break. Tommy races in the Dublin South West Club. Tommy has really set the world
on fire with his racing performances since returning back to the sport last season . This season Tommy has notched up approx fifteen firsts These are really super birds and
