<strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Metroparks</strong> is pleased to make available the following reservable shelters. All shelters provide picnic tables, grills and restrooms along with<br />

other amenities as listed. Call 440-358-7275 or 800-669-9226 or visit lakemetroparks.com for information.<br />

Chagrin River Park – Reeves Road: Located on Reeves Road in<br />

Willoughby. The shelter capacity is 75. This park offers a playground, sand<br />

volleyball court, hiking trails, fishing in the Chagrin River, a recreational field<br />

and electricity.<br />

Chagrin River Park – Rural Drive: Located on Rural Drive in Willoughby.<br />

The shelter capacity is 75 and has electricity. The park offers hiking trails,<br />

fishing in the Chagrin River and modern restrooms.<br />

Chapin Forest Reservation – Twin Ponds: Located on Hobart Road<br />

in Kirtland. The shelter capacity is 75. This park offers a playground,<br />

recreational field, volleyball, hiking trails, cross-country skiing, ski rental,<br />

pond fishing and a fireplace in the shelter.<br />

Chapin Forest Reservation – Quarry Shelter: Located on Route 306<br />

in Kirtland. The shelter capacity is 75, and overlooks a small pond. This park<br />

offers hiking trails and pond fishing.<br />

Concord Woods Nature Park: Located on Spear Road in Concord Twp.<br />

The shelter capacity is 75. This park offers a playground, electricity, hiking<br />

trails, pond fishing and a fireplace in the shelter.<br />

Girdled Road Reservation: Located on Radcliffe Road in Concord. The<br />

shelter and surrounding area can accommodate up to 250 people. This park<br />

offers electricity, a ballfield, playground, hiking trails and pond fishing.<br />

Gully Brook Park: Located on River Road in Willoughby Hills. The shelter<br />

capacity is 75. This park offers restrooms, a hiking trail and a playground.<br />

Helen Hazen Wyman Park: Located on Painesville Warren Road in Concord<br />

Township, alongside Big Creek. The shelter capacity is 75. This park offers<br />

restrooms, a playground, fishing in the Grand River and Big Creek and a<br />

game field.<br />

Hidden Valley Park: Located on Klasen Road in Madison, alongside the<br />

Grand River. The shelter capacity is 75. This park offers a playground,<br />

electricity, hiking trails and fishing in the Grand River.<br />

RESERVABLE SHELTERS<br />

<strong>Lake</strong>shore Reservation: Located on Lockwood Road in Perry, on the shores<br />

of <strong>Lake</strong> Erie. The shelter capacity is 75. This park offers electricity, a sundial,<br />

a paved All Peoples Trail and access to the <strong>Lake</strong> Erie shoreline.<br />

Penitentiary Glen Reservation: Located on Kirtland-Chardon Road in<br />

Kirtland. The shelter capacity is 75. This park offers hiking trails (some<br />

paved), Nature Center with gift shop, Wildlife Center, pond fishing and a fire<br />

ring near the shelter.<br />

Riverview Park: Located on Bailey Road in Madison alongside the Grand<br />

River. The shelter capacity is 75. This park offers electricity, winter sledding<br />

and a fire ring near the shelter.<br />

Veterans Park: Located on Hopkins Road in Mentor. The shelter capacity<br />

is 75. This park offers electricity, a playground, fishing, hiking trails (some<br />

paved) and a fireplace in the shelter.<br />

Naturalist Guide Service: Add a specialized nature program to your family<br />

or group visit to <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Metroparks</strong>. Various topics and general discovery hikes<br />

available. For information call 440-256-2125.<br />

To reserve a shelter, a $50 refundable deposit is required for <strong>Lake</strong> County<br />

residents and a $25 non-refundable fee in addition to the $50 deposit is<br />

required for non-<strong>Lake</strong> County residents. The deposit and/or fee can be paid at<br />

Concord Woods Administrative Offices, Registration Department, 11211 Spear<br />

Rd., Concord Twp. 44077 or by phone, fax or online at lakemetroparks.com<br />

In addition to these reservable shelters, <strong>Lake</strong> <strong>Metroparks</strong> makes available<br />

the following shelters on a first-come, first-served basis.<br />
