FLEXIBLE TRANSLUCENT EYEPATCHES<br />
<strong>Bernell</strong> now sells a flexible translucent eyepatch that allows the patient’s eye to<br />
be seen during patching. This is useful during VT Training sessions as well as while<br />
patching as it allows the parent or teacher to monitor the position of the patched<br />
eye. The patch has small holes near the nose to prevent steam from obscuring<br />
the view of the patient’s eye. The patient sees 20/400 or less through the patch.<br />
The patch is convex so that the eye lashes do not rub the inside surface.<br />

FLEXIBLE FLUORESCING EYEPATCHES<br />
We also sell a fluorescing eye patch that lets the light in, but keeps the patient<br />
occluded even at near. This patch is for use when doing fields such as the<br />
Humphrey Field Analyzer or the FDT. It has been suggested that light adaption<br />
differences are the reason the second eye has more errors than the first.<br />
This patch reduces that light adaption difference.<br />
