BERNELL VISION TRAINER <br />
The <strong>Bernell</strong> Vision Trainer can serve as several instruments.<br />
1) It has the same optics as the <strong>Bernell</strong>-O-Scope . Certain testing and<br />
trainer cards are interchangeable between the two instruments; others<br />
are unique to the BVT.<br />
2) It is a light box to both hold and illuminate vectographic and tranalgylphic<br />
cards, both fixed and variable--like the Dual Polachrome . But, it<br />
can also be used as a writing board for tracings.<br />
3) It is a white background posture board trainer, which can hold the red<br />
clipboard to allow regular or anaglyph tracings.<br />
4) It is a Cheiroscope which allows right or left hand/eye tracings.<br />
This unit comes with the following:<br />
Lightbox, moveable head attachment with settings for infinity or near,<br />
red clipboard, red and green tracing sheets, and a red pencil. Spacer for<br />
Vectograms, Tranaglyphs, <strong>Bernell</strong>-O-Scope Slides, BVT slides,<br />
Cheiroscopic tracings, and adjustable slant wedge.<br />

KEYSTONE CORRECT EYE SCOPE<br />
A Cheiroscope designed for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Used with the <strong>Bernell</strong><br />
Star Projection Forms and Cheiroscopic Tracing Forms. This instrument helps isolate perception<br />
problems. It is also excellent for diplopia, fusion, accommodation training, and the treatment<br />
of suppression. Works with transparencies as well as opaque materials may be used<br />
since the instrument has a flush mounted translucent screen built into it. The supporting<br />
ledge strip for cards and sheets has a calibrated scale for making direct prism computations at<br />
various accommodation levels. Ground magnifying lenses provide binocular vision without<br />
accommodative or prismatic demand at the distant setting. The base adjusts to different<br />
angles for better patient postures. There are optional accessories that may be purchased<br />
through <strong>Bernell</strong>.<br />

Tooties were invented by former aerospace scientist John Hanson, back in 1962<br />
to improve his own very young children. As the children grew, new types of<br />
Tooties and Tooties equipment were developed to address different areas of<br />
teaching. The goal was to make the learning process self-teaching and lots of<br />

Most Tooties may be hand washed and hung up to dry but they feel better if<br />
not washed. They may be sterilized in boiling water or heated in oven to 250<br />
degrees F. (Not a microwave).<br />
