<strong>18.</strong> <strong>GUARANTEE</strong><br />

ADVANCED INFLATABLE CRAFT<br />

<strong>18.</strong>1 MOST IMPORTANT<br />

The guarantee, as described in this certificate, will only be valid once the enclosed "Registration Card" has been<br />

returned to VALIANT, duly filled in, within 30 days of the date of purchase.<br />

<strong>18.</strong>2 COVERAGE<br />

VALIANT craft used solely for recreational purposes, are guaranteed as of the date of purchase and for a period of:<br />

- One year against any defects in fabric or workmanship of the craft or its components.<br />

- Five years against aging, cracking or porosity of the inflatable tube material which could affect its performance.<br />

- Five years against welding failures of the main thermowelded seams of the inflatable tube according to the ISO<br />

6185 standards.<br />

- This guarantee requires the inspection of the craft by an official VALIANT service, within 24 months from the<br />

date of purchase. Any workmanship defects will be repaired under guarantee. Servicing, transportation and<br />

damage due to use, will be charged to the user.<br />

<strong>18.</strong>3 LIMITATIONS<br />

The guarantee of this certificate will not apply if:<br />

1. The craft has been sold in a country where there is not an authorized distribution service.<br />

2. The Guarantee Registration Card has not been returned to VALIANT within 30 days of the date of purchase.<br />

3. The information on the Registration Card or the Identification Plate of the craft has been altered in any way.<br />

4. Damage to the craft is due to negligence, abuse, lack of maintenance or incorrect pressure.<br />

5. The craft is not used for recreational purposes. Accidents due to impact, punctures, wear and tear, chemical<br />

agents, etc.<br />

6. Structural changes have been made to the craft and inappropriate fitting of the engine by way of power, shaft<br />

type or mounting.<br />

7. Minor damage is caused to the GRP hull, deck and transom such as:<br />

- Minor damage to the gelcoat, cracking, protusions and inclusions.<br />

- Colour fading due to exposure to light or contact with contaminating or aggressive environments.<br />

8. Repairs have been carried out by non-authorized technical services or with non-original VALIANT spare parts.<br />

9. The compulsory service inspection within 24 months from the date of purchase in an official VALIANT<br />

service centre has not been complied with and recommended repairs, as specified, have not been carried out.<br />

10. The craft is sold by the original buyer to a third party.<br />

<strong>18.</strong>4 PROCEDURE<br />

To make use of this guarantee, the owner will contact the nearest official VALIANT distributor, who will give<br />

instructions as to where to send the craft.<br />

Boat loading, de-rigging, re-rigging and transportation to and from the Official service centre is excluded from the<br />

guarantee.<br />

VALIANT or their authorized service agent will decide, according to their criteria, whether the repair of the<br />

damaged part is under guarantee or not.<br />

In the unlikely event that the boat has to be replaced, a depreciation charge of twenty per cent per year of the boat's<br />

value will be implemented from the date of purchase.<br />

The above guarantee does not affect, in any way, the consumer's statutory rights.<br />
