<strong>Columbus</strong> <strong>State</strong> Bridgeview is open year-round. During the season<br />
(March 15 – November15), the Golf Course and Driving Range are<br />
open from dawn to dusk. Off season (November 16 – March 14),<br />
the Driving Range is open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and the course is<br />
open as weather permits (walking only). Golfers are encouraged to<br />
call ahead in the off season to check course availability. <strong>Columbus</strong><br />
<strong>State</strong> Bridgeview offers a pro shop, as well as food and beverage<br />
service. Discounts on golf rounds and range buckets are provided<br />
to <strong>Columbus</strong> <strong>State</strong> students, faculty and staff, with a Cougar ID.<br />
<strong>Columbus</strong> <strong>State</strong> Bridgeview is the ideal place for league play, and<br />
special pricing is available for leagues.<br />
The official course of The First Tee of <strong>Columbus</strong> Chapter, <strong>Columbus</strong><br />
<strong>State</strong> Bridgeview is dedicated to helping develop golfing and<br />
life skills in youths ages 7 – 17 who may not otherwise be exposed<br />
to the game. In addition, the course works in partnership with the<br />
college to provide field experience for students taking golf classes.<br />
To participate in athletics, a student must be a high school graduate<br />
or have earned a General Education Diploma (GED). Student<br />
athletes must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours per quarter and<br />
maintain the required GPA to be eligible for competition and/or<br />
athletic scholarships. (Some part-time students may be eligible<br />
to play).<br />
The college adheres to the guidelines established by, and is a member<br />
of, the National Junior <strong>College</strong> Athletic Association (NJCAA).<br />
<strong>Columbus</strong> <strong>State</strong> is also a member of the Ohio <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
Athletic Conference (OCCAC). This conference status allows<br />
Cougar student-athletes to compete against athletes at other twoyear<br />
colleges as well as those at some four-year institutions. For<br />

<strong>Columbus</strong> <strong>State</strong> Bridgeview is located at 2738 Agler Road, at the<br />
intersection of Agler, Sunbury, and Cassady Roads, just five minutes<br />
from Easton Town Center or the airport, and 10 minutes from<br />

Housing<br />
<strong>Columbus</strong> <strong>State</strong> does not provide campus housing, but the Student<br />
Activities Office (Nestor Hall 116) does disseminate information<br />
it receives on off-campus housing opportunities. This information<br />
includes postings for apartments or homes to share and for<br />
roommates. Stop by the office or call (614) 287-2637 for more<br />
information.<br />
IT Support Services<br />
Students, faculty and staff can get help with college-owned<br />
computer problems or Clean Access wireless issues by calling<br />
(614) 287-5050 between 7 a.m. and midnight, seven days a week.<br />
Delaware Campus students can get IT help by inquiring at the<br />
Learning Commons desk.<br />
Intercollegiate Athletics<br />
<strong>Columbus</strong> <strong>State</strong> currently fields teams and offers athletic scholarships<br />
in the following Division II intercollegiate sports:<br />
Men’s Basketball Women’s Basketball<br />
Co-ed Golf<br />
Women’s Volleyball<br />
The college also boasts an award-winning, co-ed cheerleading<br />
squad. All students are welcome to try out for athletic teams and<br />
the cheerleading squad. Tryouts are typically held during autumn<br />
quarter, with the exception of women’s volleyball, which holds<br />
tryouts during summer quarter.<br />

Intramural Sports<br />
The Intramural Sports program is an integral part of campus life.<br />
Intramural activities provide the campus community the opportunity<br />
to compete in athletic events without the time commitment of<br />
intercollegiate athletics. All students, as well as faculty and staff,<br />
with a valid <strong>Columbus</strong> <strong>State</strong> ID are eligible to compete. Intramural<br />
offerings include basketball, bowling, volleyball, softball, soccer,<br />
floor hockey, wiffle ball, and flag football. For more information,<br />

K–12 Initiatives<br />
The mission of the K-12 Initiatives Department is to enhance the<br />
educational opportunities for youth in <strong>Columbus</strong> <strong>State</strong>’s service<br />
area while fostering the development of lifelong learning. This<br />
department is directly responsible for the following programs:<br />
Underage Student Population Enrollment Options<br />
This program allows students between the ages of 14 and 18,<br />
with or without a high school diploma, to enroll in college credit<br />
coursework. Students may be enrolled in public, private or home<br />
school institutions and are considered self-pay students. The<br />
coursework they complete may apply toward high school graduation<br />
requirements, as established by the secondary institution<br />
they are attending.<br />
Post Secondary Enrollment Options Program<br />
PSEO allows students in high school to attend college and apply the<br />
college credit earned to their high school graduation requirements.<br />
Secondary to Post Secondary Articulation<br />
<strong>Columbus</strong> <strong>State</strong> Career and Technical Programs have worked<br />
with area high school career and technical programs to create the<br />
opportunity for students in approved programs to articulate into<br />
two-year associate degree programs with credit for the work they<br />
completed while in high school. Additionally, agreements exist<br />
for students completing Adult Education and Workforce programs<br />
with the same secondary school districts.
