Undertaking by the applicant<br />
We have studied the provisions of the “Regulations for Nordic Ecolabelling of products“.<br />
If our application for registration is granted, we undertake to follow these regulations and the ecolabelling<br />
criteria and other regulations of which we are notified by the ecolabelling organisation.<br />
We thus undertake to follow above mentioned regulations, which gives rise to the following typical<br />
obligations<br />
− to con<strong>form</strong> to the relevant official requirements concerning the outdoor and indoor environment in all<br />
handling of the product,<br />
− to use the ecolabel only on products which con<strong>form</strong> in all respects to the provisions of the relevant<br />
ecolabelling criteria,<br />
− not to use the ecolabel on products other than those covered by this registration,<br />
− to follow the rules for the use of the Nordic ecolabel according to paragraph 11 in the “Regulations for<br />
Nordic Ecolabelling of products“,<br />
− to give reliable in<strong>form</strong>ation on the implications of ecolabelling in the marketing of ecolabelled products in<br />
advertisements and other publicity,<br />
− to pay the required fees to the ecolabelling organisation and other costs related to our application and<br />
inspection and testing of ecolabelled products that are specified in the relevant ecolabelling criteria and<br />
other regulations,<br />
− to indemnify the ecolabelling organisation in the event of claims for damages or other economic<br />
disbursements which the ecolabelling organisation has incurred as a result of damage caused by a product<br />
manufactured and/or sold by the licensee, which also includes faults and shortcomings of the product<br />
itself.<br />
The Agreement giving the applicant a right to use and refer to the Nordic Swan ecolabel comes into force<br />
when the environmental organisation has issued the registration.<br />
