Waterless Coolant;
The Classic Cool 180° has been specially formulated
for engines with cast steel and iron components with
few aluminium components.
The Power Cool 180° is specially formulated for
high performance engines with signifi cant aluminium
components.
Evans Power Cool and Classic Cool have been
designed to completely replace the water based
coolants currently used in an engine’s cooling system.
Water is obviously an excellent fl uid for cooling whilst
in a liquid state, but when water turns to steam it
has virtually no capacity for heat transfer, a traditional
50/50 mix of water and anti-freeze normally boils at
around 103°C. The Evans coolant is a far superior
fl uid for transferring heat in engines because it
remains in a liquid state right up to 180°C.
Once fi tted, Evans Waterless Coolants will
last the life of the engine as long as it is
not contaminated with water. (Water can be
added to the Evans Coolant in an emergency.
However, once you exceed a 5% mix, the
benefi ts of Evans Coolants are greatly reduced).
Evans Waterless Engine Coolants
Evans Waterless Coolants prevent many of the problems associated
with using traditional water-based coolant such as overheating and
premature detonation.
The Evans Prep Fluid is recommended to prepare the cooling system
prior to the Waterless Coolant being added. The Evans Waterless
Coolants work best when there is less than 3% of water present in the
cooling system. The hygroscopic properties of the Prep Fluid means
it absorbs any water which may remain in the cooling system. It also
removes any dirt or scale which may have built up in the system
meaning the Waterless Coolant will work at it’s most effi cient.
