One of the key features of the conference was the CEOs’<br />
Panel Session. Head of FMCG industry such as Walmart<br />
Asia, Unilever and The Coca-Cola Company discussed how<br />
sustainability remains the heart of all their innovation of their<br />
product and how productivity from farm to fork can translate<br />
to cost savings to the consumers.<br />
Mr Seah Kian Peng, Chief Executive of supermarket chain<br />
NTUC FairPrice, which is also a member of <strong>ECR</strong> Asia<br />
Pacific, said: 'If we're able to increase productivity and<br />
become more efficient, we can keep costs down. These cost<br />
savings can be passed on to consumers... in the form of<br />
better prices.'<br />

The conference concluded with Mr Alex von-Behr, Co-chair of<br />
<strong>ECR</strong> Asia Pacific handing over the <strong>ECR</strong> Asia Council flag to Ms<br />
Anna Lin, CEO of <strong>GS1</strong> Hong Kong. <strong>GS1</strong> Hong Kong will be<br />
hosting the 14 th <strong>ECR</strong> Asia Pacific Conference in Hong Kong in<br />
2014.<br />

The highlight at this year’s event was the <strong>ECR</strong> Awards<br />
2012. The top 3 best practices of <strong>ECR</strong> in Asia Pacific were<br />
awarded by the <strong>ECR</strong> Asia-Pacific in recognition of their<br />
excellent and commendable achievements on their<br />
respective projects to up productivity and hence bring a<br />
collective benefit to consumers. The winners were:<br />
