Championship Information Bulletin Ref. FCB07 May 31st 2013
1. Rounds 10, 11 & 12, Oulton Park Island Circuit, Cheshire, June 8 / 9.
We will be parked to the left of the paddock entrance, with generators and one water standpipe. Our parking slot is
Thursday, 12:30-13:30. It is important to arrive at this time. Please advise Penny if team truck is delayed or earlier
than this allocation. Also let her know if paddock vehicles change. Remember all vehicle passes, fixed to front window.
1.1 Car Parking during Parking Up Days. To help ease paddock congestion on Thursday and Friday Parking Up
days, as detailed in the schedule in this Information Bulletin (1.10), ALL vehicles that do not have Paddock passes must
park in the Competitors Car Park (in the field immediately on the left once past the ticket check booths) as directed by
circuit security.
Any abuse shown towards the vehicle pass system / circuit security will result in passes being withdrawn. Any
vehicles found in unauthorised areas will be removed without warning.
1.2 Motorhome area. The motorhome area for private motorhomes is in the field immediately on the left once over
the bridge at the circuit entrance. It is no longer in the area next to Chequers Diner. See 3.5 for full details.
1.3 Support Race Test Day – no entry for Support Races into BTCC Paddock area. Support Race race
vehicles and pit lane equipment must stay out of BTCC paddock area on Friday, June 7, because BTCC teams’
parking-up and set-up could cause delay and obstruction to those testing. For the avoidance of doubt, that means no
testing / race traffic along the roadway in front of the transporters parked behind the pit garages.
1.4 Support Race Pit Lane Entry / Exit. Entry for pit lane equipment for both the test day and the race weekend
will be via the gate next to the Race Control building. Exit for pit lane equipment on both the test day and the race
weekend will be through the exit lane next to Garage 28. Re-fuelling on the test day if necessary can take place in the
Assembly Area.
1.5 Signing on. This will be in the Formula Ford Race Centre on Friday for Test Day, and Saturday for the Race
Meeting and Driver Briefings. It is mandatory and all drivers must bring their racing licences; BRSCC membership
cards; team entrant licence with team manager; drivers under 18 to bring parent—or guardian with original signed
permission from parent for this event at Oulton Park.
1.6 MSA Formula Ford Masterclasses. The MSA Performance Managers, James Wozencroft and Andy Meyrick
have targeted attention on our drivers to help maximise their development in specific areas they have noted so far this
season. This programme starts on Friday with 2 important talks in the Race Centre for all Formula Ford drivers
concerning driver preparation and driving techniques. These sessions are designed to help our Formula Ford drivers to
set their targets for personal and physical development over the season. There are different training classes at Croft.
1.7 Ticket Collection Point. A Team ticket/pass collection point will be in operation in the “Advance Ticket
Collection Point” on the left before the ticket booths (on the grass). This will be open between 07.00 and 13.00 on
Sunday, June 9. You can drive into this area to collect tickets however anyone found parking there will be fined £50.
Teams can drop off tickets/passes, in marked envelopes, at the reception desk of the Fogarty Moss Centre up to 17.00
on Saturday, June 8, or drop them off at the Advance Ticket Collection Point itself after 07.00 on the Sunday.
1.8 Vacating the paddock. The Paddock must be clear by midday, Monday, June 10.
1.9 Live Television. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the demands of the live ITV broadcast, the event timetable on
Sunday is flexible to allow for any unforeseen circumstances on the day. Therefore start times, particularly for the BTCC
races, may change at short notice and teams/competitors will be notified by event officials if/when that happens.

3 Important Notes for All Competitors
3.1 Due to testing, BTCC teams will only have access to the Pit Lane during the lunch break (13.05 - 13.25) and
after 17.00hrs on Friday.
3.2 The very large Fire Lane to the rear of the pit garages must be kept clear at all times.
3.3 It is not permitted to drive any pins or stakes into the Paddock surface. The circuit may levy a fine of £100 plus
reinstatement costs for each and every breach of this rule.
3.4 The Competitors Car Park is in the two fields immediately on the left once past the ticket check booths.
3.5 Parking for all motorhomes (including all Support Race motorhomes) not indicated on the paddock plan is in
the motorhome area which is immediately on the left once over the bridge after the circuit entrance. Water is available
in this area but motorhome users must not leave their water hoses permanently plumbed in to the water supply – it is
for filling water carriers, tanks etc. only. There is no circuit power available in this area.
3.6 Empty Carless fuel cans should be left tidily at the circuit fuel pumps on departure. Please ensure that all
waste oil is placed in the waste oil facilities and not put into empty Carless fuel cans (along with any other
substances) as these incur high costs to recycle and the costs will be passed on to all teams in your
Championship. Teams are reminded not to leave old tyres behind, which also incur costs. They are also traceable.
3.7 All refuse bins will be emptied on Friday and Saturday at 18.30 and early Sunday morning.
3.8 Teams must not leave their tail lifts down blocking roadways, especially during the parking-up process.
3.9 There will be 24-hour security in place from Thursday 07.00 to Monday 07.00.
However, please ensure that all your property is kept safe at all times – if possible,
watched-over by a team member when your cars are on track – and is not easily
removable.
3.10 A reminder: No-one is permitted to drive paddock buggies/quads etc. outside of the Oulton Park paddock
unless they have an Oulton Park pass for that purpose. Only a limited number of these passes will be available to
keep buggies to a minimum in the public areas. This is a popular meeting with thousands of spectators.
3.11 A Pass Out system will be operational on Sunday, June 9. Anyone with a TOCA pass of any description who
needs to leave the circuit must see a security guard at the gate to be issued with the Pass Out. Anyone attempting to
re-enter the circuit with a marked pass but without a Pass Out (and vice versa) will be refused admission. Please
ensure all team members and guests with permanent passes understand this.
3.12 Parc Fermé. All teams and supporters are reminded to respect the parc fermé exclusion of personnel.
3.13 Car Livery and sponsor branding. Please have the correct 2013 side pod livery on your cars, or have your car
prepared to apply the new livery before testing on Friday. This will be available from Thursday. All transporters to fly
Ford flags from Friday to Sunday. All drivers to wear Ford paddock clothing and Race Suits at the event.
3.14 Please would all drivers acknowledge the marshals at the end of a race – a cheery wave will take you a
long way in your motor racing career. It has been noticed by marshals this year that our drivers fail to do this.
3.15 Fire Extinguishers and Health & Safety. Teams to be aware of all risks and to include all extras for inspection.
4 Team training. First Aid training is available on Wednesday 26th June from 09:30-16:30 at Brands Hatch.
