Expansors for Removable Appliances<br />
The Pozzi/Leone Expansors for Removable Appliances are the result of extensive research and development. They are manufactured<br />
by Leone for Pozzi, using modern, high-tech machinery, using surgical grade stainless steel. Manufacturing conditions are computermonitored<br />
to ensure strict quality control.<br />
Expansors for Removable Appliances are available in four groups: the 800 Series - comprised of Swartz and Sagittal types<br />
divided into four types - medium, standard, universal and micro-sectional; the 670 series of expansors with acrylic friction,<br />
the 500 Series comprised primarily of fan-type Expansors, and the 900 Series - comprised primarily of 3 way expansors.<br />
Expansors are provided with double guided pins, upper or lower appliances. They have high-end retentive bodies for a strong grip<br />
into acrylic base. The Muscle Thread is extruded with compression resulting in a perfect fit, total surface smoothness, and maximum<br />
hardness. This also results in a 50% increase in the breaking load in comparison to that of ordinary expansion screws.<br />
The guide pins, with a tolerance of + - 0.0001 mm, ensure high stability precision. The guide pins on the Swartz type Expansors<br />
slide into the bodies which increases the expansion of 1mm in each side (total 2mm) - see illustration above. All screws<br />
are supplied with a stainless steel activation key, and a yellow plastic arrow indicating the opening direction is attached.<br />
For use in narrow appliances when more strength than in a<br />
microexpander is needed. For upper and lower appliances.<br />
