I. CALL TO ORDER:<br />

The regular <strong>Park</strong> & <strong>Rec</strong>reation Board meeting opened at 7:05 by Jeff Holt, Chairman.<br />

PUBLIC COMMENTS<br />

Mr. Barnes, a parent from the Karate class, complained about the <strong>Rec</strong>. Center being dirty. Also, they had<br />

no tables and chairs for the parents to watch their child during the class. He was concerned that they<br />

were not informed of the construction, etc.<br />

<strong>Park</strong> & <strong>Rec</strong>. Coordinator told Mr. Barnes the Karate instructors were informed about the construction and<br />

that the floor was not dirty, because our <strong>Park</strong> Maintenance guys scrub them every afternoon. And the<br />

Parents were told that because of construction if they wanted to stay and watch that they had to bring their<br />

own chairs.<br />

PRESENTATIONS/REPORTS<br />

A. Baseball Association –<br />

B. Treasurer Report – The <strong>Park</strong> & <strong>Rec</strong>reation Board reviewed the Filo and <strong>Park</strong> Development report issued by<br />

the Secretary/Treasurer.<br />

C Ped Path – (Tabled until further notice)<br />

IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES<br />

A motion was made by Tom Stewart, seconded by Mrs. Hetrick, to approve April minutes. The motion<br />

passed unanimously.<br />

V. TOWNSHIP STAFF REPORT<br />

A. <strong>Park</strong> and <strong>Rec</strong>reation Coordinator -<br />

- <strong>Park</strong> Maintenance- park maintenance guys need to rake up stones every night at Houck Manor <strong>Park</strong> because<br />

of parents not watching their kids at the baseball games. We put keep out signs up. We are still working on<br />

cleaning up the area in back of the concession stand.<br />

- Keeping parks weeded.<br />

- Cleaning pavilions for rentals<br />

- Scrubbing bay area floors every afternoon.<br />

- walking parking lot everyday picking up nails/screws etc.<br />

- Event updates<br />

- Indoor Yard Sale-Our expenses were $170.00 and Income was $642.45.<br />

VI. PLANS FOR REVIEW<br />

A. None<br />

VII. OLD BUSINESS<br />

A. <strong>Rec</strong>reation Center- Construction is moving forward.<br />

B. Project Status report – reviewed and discussed by the <strong>Park</strong> & <strong>Rec</strong>reation Board.<br />

C. Ped Path Project – (tabled- future project)


VIII. NEW BUSINESS<br />

A. Strawberry Social- Tom, Jeff, Becky, Linda, and Deb would possibly be able to help.<br />

B. Summer <strong>Rec</strong>reation Program<br />

C. Movie Night in the <strong>Park</strong> – Jeff will assist with set-up for movie night.<br />

D. Festival- Linda volunteered to sell tickets.<br />

IX. CORRESPONDENCE/OTHER BUSINESS<br />

A. None<br />

X. ADJOURNMENT<br />

Tom Stewart made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mrs. Turns. The motion passed unanimously.<br />

<strong>Meeting</strong> adjourned at 8pm.
