I. CALL TO ORDER:
The regular Park & Recreation Board meeting opened at 7:05 by Jeff Holt, Chairman.

PUBLIC COMMENTS
Mr. Barnes, a parent from the Karate class, complained about the Rec. Center being dirty. Also, they had
no tables and chairs for the parents to watch their child during the class. He was concerned that they
were not informed of the construction, etc.
Park & Rec. Coordinator told Mr. Barnes the Karate instructors were informed about the construction and
that the floor was not dirty, because our Park Maintenance guys scrub them every afternoon. And the
Parents were told that because of construction if they wanted to stay and watch that they had to bring their
own chairs.

B. Treasurer Report – The Park & Recreation Board reviewed the Filo and Park Development report issued by
the Secretary/Treasurer.

IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A motion was made by Tom Stewart, seconded by Mrs. Hetrick, to approve April minutes. The motion
passed unanimously.
V. TOWNSHIP STAFF REPORT
A. Park and Recreation Coordinator -
- Park Maintenance- park maintenance guys need to rake up stones every night at Houck Manor Park because
of parents not watching their kids at the baseball games. We put keep out signs up. We are still working on
cleaning up the area in back of the concession stand.
- Keeping parks weeded.
- Cleaning pavilions for rentals
- Scrubbing bay area floors every afternoon.
- walking parking lot everyday picking up nails/screws etc.
- Event updates
- Indoor Yard Sale-Our expenses were $170.00 and Income was $642.45.
VI. PLANS FOR REVIEW
A. None
VII. OLD BUSINESS
A. Recreation Center- Construction is moving forward.
B. Project Status report – reviewed and discussed by the Park & Recreation Board.
C. Ped Path Project – (tabled- future project)

VIII. NEW BUSINESS
A. Strawberry Social- Tom, Jeff, Becky, Linda, and Deb would possibly be able to help.
B. Summer Recreation Program
C. Movie Night in the Park – Jeff will assist with set-up for movie night.
D. Festival- Linda volunteered to sell tickets.
IX. CORRESPONDENCE/OTHER BUSINESS
A. None
X. ADJOURNMENT
Tom Stewart made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mrs. Turns. The motion passed unanimously.
