WSQ CERTIFIED PRODUCTIVITY &
INNOVATION MANAGER
WSQ Certified Productivity & Innovation Manager (CPI
Manager) is a jointly developed training programme by
Singapore Manufacturers’ Federation (SMa) and Singapore
Workforce Development Agency (WDA).
This programme is designed for professionals, managers,
consultants and project teams, to be trained and developed
as Productivity Champions or Change Agents within
companies, to implement productivity and business
innovation tools and initiatives at the enterprise level.
Productivity coaches will be attached to the participating
companies to adopt implementation of strategies to raising
productivity levels in business or manufacturing processes
such as operations management, order fulfillment, logistics
and warehousing, supply chain management, customer
service management, and more.

UNIT 1: WSQ Certified Operations Professionals
- Supervise Teams at Work
- Supervise Work Improvement Processes
- Supervise Quality Procedures
- Supervise Workplace Safety and Health Practices
UNIT 2: Implement Business Process Reengineering
Business Process Reengineering (BPR) is the fundamental rethinking
and radical redesign of business processes, to achieve dramatic
improvements in critical, contemporary measures of performance such
as cost, quality, service and speed. BPR advocates that enterprises
return to the basics and reexamine their very roots and aim for total
reinvention. BPR redesigns strategic and value-added processes that
transcend organisational boundaries.
UNIT 3: Implement Lean Six Sigma
Lean Six Sigma is an integrated set of methodologies that combines
both traditional Lean and Six Sigma concepts to provide the necessary
tools to address all aspects of quality, cost, and delivery. Lean Six
Sigma is a powerful approach that allows organisations to achieve
targeted value more quickly at the lowest possible cost, while aligning
processes with customers.
UNIT 4: Implement Enterprise Productivity Improvement
Project
Upon completion of the above units, participants will undertake an
identified Enterprise Productivity Improvement Project within their
organisations. The project will last 3-4 months and productivity coaches
will be assigned to guide the participants to implement the identified
enterprise level project and apply the knowledge and skills acquired
from training, which will translate into better efficiency, actual
productivity gains and business returns for the company.

WSQ Certified Productivity &
Innovation Manager consists of 3
modules, conducted over 144
hours, followed by a 3-4 month
Implement Enterprise Productivity
Improvement Project.
AWARD
Upon completion of this
programme, a full qualification
certificate will be issued by
Singapore Workforce Development
Agency (WDA). This also includes
a Statement of Attainment (SOA)
for each individual unit.

Unit 2 & 3: Written
Unit 4: Project Work
ADMISSION CRITERIA
This is an industry-oriented
programme, and applicants should
preferably possess one of the
following:
- A Diploma qualification, and/or
- A minimum of 5 years working
experience

For example, if a company sends 5 participants, unit 1 to 3 will be
calculated based on the number of participants sent. Unit 4 will based
on fixed price, as it is calculated as per company basis. Participants
must be either Singaporeans or PRs, and are currently employed by the
