Name: Teemu Polvi
Born: 20.10.1985, Pori, Finland
I’m a student of Tampere University Of Technology looking for new challenges in field of software and game industry,
during when finishing up with last of my studies.
I have a solid experience in C++ (Symbian) and Java programming, but I have also worked with C, PHP, Objective C
(iPhone), Actionscript and MySQL. I am not afraid to learn new languages and not fixated in any certain one.
I have also done much 3D and 2D graphics for mostly my own projects. I like to design features and constantly think
how to make users time most enjoyable when they are using my products.
When I was 16-20, I leaded my first long-term project, Snow-War modification for a popular PC game. The project
lasted 4 years, and we released several successful versions.
I also filmed, directed and edited several hobby video projects when I was 18-21 and also filmed and edited several
plays and weddings.
In 2005 I started my studies in TUT. During my studies I did many projects of my own, some of which are listed in the
next section.
In 2008-2010 I worked 23 months straight in Universomo Ltd, subsidiary of THQ Wireless Ltd. There I worked on tight
schedules in milestone driven game development projects. I started by assisting others, fixing bugs and implementing
features in projects previously un-familiar to me. During my last year there, I moved to Lead Programmer position.
Unfortunately the company was in state where my title and job description could not be changed.
Starting from 2.4.2010 my contract of employment is being terminated on financial and production-related grounds
when closing Universomo Ltd.
I am now looking for job opportunities where I could continue to create pleasant experiences to audience of users. I
am a team player willing to play both offence and defence, which ever is the most beneficial to the team. It does not
matter to me if I am the one “doing the goals” or just playing a good support.
If you would like to hear more about me or see more of my work, don’t hesitate to contact me.
