This artwork is called a Print. A Print is a very special kind of<br />
stamp.<br />
Use your drawing finger in the air to make lines<br />
like Matilda’s lines.<br />
What could Matilda’s lines be a picture about<br />
Feel the lines which have been carved into the soft cut blocks.<br />
Press hard with the drawing tool to make your own<br />
wiggly lines in the red rectangle.<br />
(Make sure a piece of paper is inserted in the folder first!)<br />

Murrumbeeja is an aboriginal name for the Murrumbidgee River.<br />
Dooligah is an aboriginal name for the star pictures in the night sky.

This is a very old Painting. It was painted before you were born, before<br />
your Mum <strong>and</strong> Dad were born <strong>and</strong> even before your<br />

Lyn has used a needle <strong>and</strong> thread to sew all of the<br />
Quilt shapes together.

Use the Roller to paint rainbow lines in the air.<br />

Red <strong>and</strong> yellow <strong>and</strong> pink <strong>and</strong> green,<br />
Purple <strong>and</strong> orange <strong>and</strong> blue,<br />

One rainy day Richard was travelling between Canberra<br />
<strong>and</strong> Yass. He saw the rainy hills when he looked through the window,<br />
<strong>and</strong> he decided to paint this painting.
