require a snack before the lesson may we suggest a banana or
plain biscuit.
What to Bring
Children should wear suitable swimwear which should not be
restrictive. We recommend for girls a one-piece costume and
for boys fitted trunks. We provide all other equipment.
Jewellery and watches must be removed for safety reasons. For
hygiene please ensure swimming hats are worn.
On Arrival
Please arrive 10 minutes before your lesson starts. Clothing must
not be left in the changing rooms but in the lockers provided which
are coin returnable.
Jubilee Pool lockers take 20p pieces and Kidsgrove Sports Centre
lockers take 50p pieces.
Entry to the Pool
Please ensure your child has visited the toilet and showered
before going into the pool and goes to the designated waiting
area at the appropriate time.
Please take your child to their teacher at the beginning of their
lesson. Their teacher will then take the register. Please take a
seat in the appropriate viewing area during the lesson.
Please note - if a child is under eight years old their parent or a
responsible person over the age of 16 must supervise them before
and after the lesson.
During the Lesson
Teachers will use various swimming aids, games and activities
during the lesson to progress pupils to the next stage.
Parents / guardians are asked to stay in the spectator area at all
times while the swimming lesson is taking place.
