Decorative Melamine Films<br />
<strong>Coveright</strong> is the world’s largest independent supplier<br />
of decorative melamine films. Our highly durable surfaces<br />
are chemical, water and steam resistant. <strong>Coveright</strong>’s unique<br />
designs are attractive, easy to keep clean and strong enough<br />
to handle the knocks and scratches of everyday wear.<br />
Flexibility in design, production and delivery <strong>Coveright</strong> offers<br />
an extensive selection of design, color and custom treating<br />
capabilities.<br />

of superior resin technologies to meet diverse pressing<br />

Our films are available in sheet or roll form, depending<br />
on your processes. <strong>Coveright</strong> offers a choice of sheet sizes<br />
and volumes in order to provide our customers with the<br />
greatest cost efficiencies. Rolls are typically between<br />
1,000 and 3,000 square meters, and range between 200<br />
to 600 kilograms, depending on the basis weight of paper<br />
being used.<br />

The basis weight of raw papers ranges between 50g/m2 to<br />
180 g/m2. Our papers feature chemical and mechanical<br />
resistance properties, and are saturated with Aminoplastic<br />
resins. The product is thermally fused to wood-based<br />
composite panels, such as particleboards and fiberboards,<br />
using a combination of high temperature and pressure.<br />
This results in a durable surface that requires no additional<br />
finishing or protection. Technically advanced films are<br />
available for use under specific pressing conditions, and can<br />
be customized to your requirements.<br />
Made for Durability<br />
Decorative melamine films are widely used by composite<br />
wood panel manufacturers for kitchen and bathroom<br />
cabinets, cupboards, wardrobes, shelving, desks and<br />
other furniture applications. The markets where <strong>Coveright</strong><br />
surfaces can be found include residential, industrial,<br />
automotive, transportation, institutional, hospitality<br />
commercial and consumer.<br />
Melamine provides a superior chemical and mechanical<br />
wear resistance. This makes it an ideal alternative for<br />
busy areas where furniture is likely to undergo excessive<br />
use and wear and requires greater surface protection.<br />
There is a significant cost saving with our melamine films<br />
compared to solid wood or wood veneer alternatives, due<br />
to the high costs associated with natural and exotic wood<br />
grains.

Made to Order Style & Functionality<br />
Our range of high quality products includes two flooring film<br />
systems designed to suit customer processes and provide<br />
outstanding aesthetic and wear-resistant qualities. DWS, our<br />
two-in-one system, combines the properties of an overlay with<br />
the aesthetics of a décor film while also protecting the press<br />
plate against excessive wear.<br />
Our traditional flooring system consists of a wear resistant<br />
overlay impregnated with a melamine resin, a decorative film,<br />
and a balance film. Intensive research and advancements<br />
in resin synthesis enable us to manufacture overlays that<br />
are highly transparent, durable and resistant to abrasion,<br />
scratches, chemicals and cigarette burns. The decorative films<br />
are specially designed to provide optimum transparency with<br />
the overlay films. The melamine-based balance film, applied<br />
to the underside of the flooring panel, prevents the absorption<br />
of moisture, which can cause warping.<br />

We offer flooring films in all standard abrasion classes.<br />
<strong>Coveright</strong> now offers Overlays for deep texture finish. We<br />
also offer Overlay with enhanced Scratch Resistance.<br />
In addition, we also offer the following options:<br />
Underlay: An underlay for improved impact resistance.<br />
This can be applied to both systems.<br />
Décor films: DMA Resin Systems used based on EIR and<br />
Non EIR papers of varying basis weights and designs.<br />
<strong>Coveright</strong> offers décor film (custom) impregnation. These<br />
can be used in any combination with our overlay films and<br />
can be applied to both overlay systems.<br />

Antibacterial: <strong>Coveright</strong> has developed a special overlay<br />
that provides active protection against bacterial growth.<br />
Tests have shown that in addition to slowing bacterial<br />
growth, it actually reduces the quantity of bacteria.<br />
Antistatic: One of the disadvantages of laminate<br />
flooring has been that, in low humidity conditions,<br />
people walking on the floor can receive a static shock<br />
when touching something that is earthed. <strong>Coveright</strong> has<br />
developed a solution to this problem. A special treatment<br />
for both the overlay and the décor film reduces the surface<br />
tension to below 2kV, compared with up to 11kV for a<br />
standard flooring film.

of applications, such as shuttering boards for concrete<br />

Our products and coating processes deliver surface<br />
solutions for plywood, OSB, MDF, Particleboard,<br />
blockboard and Wallboard; glue films for veneers and<br />
fascias; custom underlayments for use under surface<br />
films or other application; and primer films for woodbased<br />
panels, such as door skins and outdoor sidings.<br />
The properties of our films provide resistance to<br />
mechanical stress, chemicals, moisture, heat, cracking<br />
and are poised to be customised for other fit-for-use<br />
applications.<br />
We produce special films to glue wood to metals,<br />
especially needed in the automotive industry. Our<br />
P&G primer films are an ideal foundation for gluing or<br />
lacquering with water and/or solvent based paints.<br />
We have developed specialty cleaning films to simplify<br />
