Carol-Anne Bowls a Turkey
Carol-Anne Flett reached a personal sporting milestone
this month when she achieved 3 strikes in a row at
bowling.
A member of the Pin Busters team that plays regularly
on Monday nights at the Bundy Bowl and Leisure
Complex, Carol-Anne was ecstatic to get three strikes as
a row (a turkey). She also reached her highest score
with 142 which was 66 pins over her average.
Carol-Anne was proud of her accomplishment and took
her score sheet and a photo taken of her on the night to
show her class mates at Latch-On, the literacy and
technology program run by Endeavour where she is
currently a student. Everyone at Latch-On, her parents,
bowling mates and bowling staff at the complex have
been impressed with this achievement and are proud of
her for reaching this sporting personal best.

Wall of Fame Partnership
Wide Bay Volunteers and Jobfind are working in partnership to create a specific team to
research the Sporting Heroes for Councils Wall of Fame. The team plan to contact
sporting organisations to research potential candidates for nomination to the Wall of Fame
Team members will be taught admin skills, phone skills etc., so it is a winning partnership
for the Volunteers who will be able to put their new learnt skills into practice.
