Before your flight
• Reconfirm your reservation soon. Some flights may
have changed due to schedule changes.
• If flights have changed, notify Effie so transportation
can be arranged. effies@ksu.edu
• You will be able to select seat assignments and add
your AAdvantage account information if you have not
already done so.
• Must provide First and Last Name, plus your six letter
record locator provided at time of reservation.

standard carry-on sized bags are still
too large to fit inside the small
overhead bins on our aircraft.
• Roll-aboard or other large carry-on
bags will be planeside (Valet)
checked.
• Bags will be returned to you
planeside in Dallas or Chicago, so
you may carry them to your next
flight.

• Checked bags must not contain the following:
• Alcoholic beverages over 140 proof (70% by volume)
• Defensive sprays like mace, tear gas, or pepper spray
• Explosives
• Undeclared firearms or ammunition
• Any flammable liquid or sold, such as fuel, paints, torch lighters,
etc.
• Gasoline powered tools
• Household dangerous goods, such as bleach, spray starch,
insecticides, drain cleaners and solvents.
• Lighters (small zippo-style) are allowed in carry-on bags only.
No lighters or matches allowed in checked luggage.
• Pressurized containers

• On the 15 th and 16 th of August, American Eagle Airlines agents
will open the airport at 3:00am to assist the earliest bus loads of
passengers to Ecuador for flights departing at 6 and 7 AM.
Please have your passport ready for the agent at check-in.
• Our agents will validate the weight of your luggage and your
passport information and will issue boarding passes all the way
through to Ecuador.
• Due to the high volume of passengers, we will enforce a 45-
minute cutoff time for all international passengers.
This ensures we have enough time to complete proper security
screening procedures for all bags.
• Unfortunately, only concessions are vending machines and
complimentary coffee at the airport in the mornings.

Getting through the TSA Checkpoint
The TSA Checkpoint is mandatory for all passengers
boarding commercial flights.
It is a quick and simple process as long as you are
prepared!
• Remember 3 – 1 – 1 rule for liquids:
• 3fl.oz. or less of any liquid in 1 clear, ziplock style bag for every 1
passenger.

Getting through the TSA Checkpoint
1. Show your boarding pass and passport.
2. Remove your shoes and place them
directly on the screening belt.
3. Remove 3-1-1 liquids bag from your
carry-on, and place hats and jackets
in a bin.
4. Remove metal objects from your pockets, including your
belt.
5. Place large electronic devices, like laptop computers,
into a separate bin.
6. Proceed through the metal detector and collect your
belongings.
