planeside in Dallas or Chicago, so<br />

you may carry them to <strong>your</strong> next<br />

<strong>flight</strong>.

• Checked bags must not contain the following:<br />

• Alcoholic beverages over 140 proof (70% by volume)<br />

• Defensive sprays like mace, tear gas, or pepper spray<br />

• Explosives<br />

• Undeclared firearms or ammunition<br />

• Any flammable liquid or sold, such as fuel, paints, torch lighters,<br />

etc.<br />

• Gasoline powered tools<br />

• Household dangerous goods, such as bleach, spray starch,<br />

insecticides, drain cleaners and solvents.<br />

• Lighters (small zippo-style) are allowed in carry-on bags only.<br />

No lighters or matches allowed in checked luggage.<br />

• Pressurized containers


• On the 15 th and 16 th of August, American Eagle Airlines agents<br />

will open the airport at 3:00am to assist the earliest bus loads of<br />

passengers to Ecuador <strong>for</strong> <strong>flight</strong>s departing at 6 and 7 AM.<br />

Please have <strong>your</strong> passport ready <strong>for</strong> the agent at check-in.<br />

• Our agents will validate the weight of <strong>your</strong> luggage and <strong>your</strong><br />

passport in<strong>for</strong>mation and will issue boarding passes all the way<br />

through to Ecuador.<br />

• Due to the high volume of passengers, we will en<strong>for</strong>ce a 45-<br />

minute cutoff time <strong>for</strong> all international passengers.<br />

This ensures we have enough time to complete proper security<br />

screening procedures <strong>for</strong> all bags.<br />

• Un<strong>for</strong>tunately, only concessions are vending machines and<br />

complimentary coffee at the airport in the mornings.


Getting through the TSA Checkpoint<br />

The TSA Checkpoint is mandatory <strong>for</strong> all passengers<br />

boarding commercial <strong>flight</strong>s.<br />

It is a quick and simple process as long as you are<br />

prepared!<br />

• Remember 3 – 1 – 1 rule <strong>for</strong> liquids:<br />

• 3fl.oz. or less of any liquid in 1 clear, ziplock style bag <strong>for</strong> every 1<br />

passenger.


Getting through the TSA Checkpoint<br />

1. Show <strong>your</strong> boarding pass and passport.<br />

2. Remove <strong>your</strong> shoes and place them<br />

directly on the screening belt.<br />

3. Remove 3-1-1 liquids bag from <strong>your</strong><br />

carry-on, and place hats and jackets<br />

in a bin.<br />

4. Remove metal objects from <strong>your</strong> pockets, including <strong>your</strong><br />

belt.<br />

5. Place large electronic devices, like laptop computers,<br />

into a separate bin.<br />

6. Proceed through the metal detector and collect <strong>your</strong><br />

belongings.
