Preserving Our Legacy
The Athenaeum of Ohio has embarked on a time of transformation – a time that will lay
groundwork for the continual formation and enrichment of a deep faith-filled Catholic
community. Recognizing its indelible impact on our Church and in response to a comprehensive
planning process, the Athenaeum has developed a strategic blueprint that will ensure its future service
to the members of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and, indeed, the world. This fundraising initiative
seeks to raise $15,750,000 to invest in the current curriculum and facilities of The Athenaeum of Ohio
while expanding the Athenaeum’s mission. It will maintain and improve the formation of men for the
priesthood and diaconate and prepare lay people to serve their Church as lay ministers.
This effort will play a pivotal role in helping provide the most beneficial formation programs to those
who have heard God’s call. These ordained and lay ministers will be prepared to best serve our Church
by providing it the varied ministerial gifts and talents needed in today’s changing world.
The campaign will address four major areas:
1. Strenthening the Annual Fund
2. Vocations Program and Student Recruitment
3. Faculty and Staff Endowment
4. Building Improvements
