Section 4: Program Goals and Objectives
The primary goal of the Disability Resource Center over the next six years is to
continue to provide access to Lake Tahoe Community College for students with
disabilities, as mandated by Title V and state and federal law. The DRC will
continue to provide a supportive environment for our diverse community as
outlined in the LTCC Mission Statement.
Services provided by the DRC are directly linked to the LTCC Strategic Plan
(2009) goals and objectives as well as the Lake Tahoe Community College Core
Competencies of Critical Thinking, Global Awareness, and Personal
Responsibility and Professional Development. Disability Resource Center
services are aligned with the Strategic Plan goals and objectives as follows:
DRC Goal 1: Access – Ensure that the LTCC learning environment is
accessible and welcoming to all students with disabilities.

Minimize barriers to student enrollment at Lake Tahoe Community College in order to
provide open access to students
