Cristi – one reason the numbers increased – Bob’s door is always open, students walk in
and talk directly to Bob. Bob has encouraged students to use the services, Alternate
Media, etc.
Bob – getting students in the DRC system more quickly – e-mail contact with Unified
School District to obtain student documentation more quickly. Streamlining what we are
doing. Streamlining the LD testing, cut it down to the bare minimum – using the intake
to focus the LD testing approach to the student’s needs. Doing what we’ve always done
more efficiently, with fewer resources.
Bob – we’ve got good support from Tom. New ideas, a student services and support
background.
Sue – I appreciate the DRC covering exam proctoring, doing it on your own time, your
flexibility.
Jessica – numbers may have grown because the college cut other courses. Students
needed more help and guidance from the DRC. I have to substitute classes – I talk to
Bob or Cristi or Beth – “what can I do”. Some of the core classes were needed.
Students need your support more. I tell people all the time to go to the DRC – talk to
Bob, Beth, Cristi. A good group of people.
