<strong>Dr</strong> Chris Kelly, Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> Gerontology,<br />

<strong>Dr</strong>. Kelly was awarded a Certific<strong>at</strong>e <strong>of</strong> Recognition for Contributions<br />
to Students in a ceremony followed by a reception in the<br />
Centennial Room, <strong>Nebraska</strong> Union, City Campus, <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong><br />
<strong>Nebraska</strong> Lincoln, January 29, 2010.<br />
The purpose <strong>of</strong> this award is to provide a mechanism for positive<br />
feedback to the UNL faculty/staff about the work they have done<br />
with students. In addition, to encourage the goal <strong>of</strong> good student/<br />
faculty rel<strong>at</strong>ionships <strong>at</strong> UNL and to provide an intangible reward/<br />
recognition in an area <strong>of</strong>ten overlooked in the formal rewards system.<br />
The Parents Associ<strong>at</strong>ion solicits nomin<strong>at</strong>ions through a special<br />
mailing requesting UNL parents to nomin<strong>at</strong>e a member <strong>of</strong> the<br />
<strong>University</strong> “who has made a significant difference” in their son’s or<br />
daughter’s life.<br />
