Free Samsung Galaxy Smartphone (S5570) Promotion (the “Promotion”)
Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”). Any
information or instructions published by the Promoter about the Promotion at
www.samsung.com/uk/galaxygiveaway form part of the Terms and Conditions.
The Promoter
1. The Promoter is Samsung Electronics (UK) Limited, Samsung House, 1000 Hillswood Drive,
Chertsey, Surrey, KT16 0PS (the “Promoter” or “Samsung”).
Promotion Period
2 The Promotion will commence at 00:00 (GMT) on 22 May 2013 and closes at 23:59 (GMT) on
31 July 2013 (the “Promotion Period”). Claims must be received by 23:59 on 15 September
2013. Consumers must wait at least 10 days after purchase before making a claim and
must submit their claim within 45 days of purchase (i.e. participants should make their
purchase, wait 10 days and then claim between day 10 and day 45 after the date of
purchase. For the avoidance of doubt the date of purchase on the invoice or receipt counts
as Day 1.) Claims received before the 10 day waiting period has elapsed will be rejected and
will NOT BE PROCESSED. Consumers will need to apply again after the 10 day waiting period
and before 45 days has elapsed since their purchase date.
Offer
3. Participants who purchase a new (i.e. not second hand) Samsung Series 5, 7 or 9 Laptop, Allin-One
Desktop, or Windows Tablet from the list of models set out below (each a
“Promotion Product” and together the “Promotion Products”) from participating authorised
UK or ROI retailers (whether purchase is made in-store or online) within the Promotion
Period will be entitled to claim a Samsung Galaxy Mini (sim and network free) mobile phone
Handset (model number S5570)(a “Reward”). Purchases from auction websites (e.g. eBay)
or marketplace sales through retail websites (e.g. Amazon Marketplace or Play Trade) are
specifically excluded from this Promotion.

Eligibility
4. To be eligible to participate in the Promotion you must be a UK or ROI resident aged 18 or
over or a UK or ROI registered company. Consumers or companies professionally connected
to this Promotion are not eligible to enter.
5. The Promotion entitles participants to claim one Reward per valid purchase of a Promotion
Product.
6. The offer is restricted to a maximum of one per person or a maximum of ten units per
company.
Entry
7. Participants must wait at least ten (10) days after purchasing a Promotion Product before
making a claim for a Reward, and must claim within 45 days of the date of purchase.
8. Claims received after 15 September 2013 will be invalid.
9. In order to participate in the Promotion and claim a Reward, participants must either claim
online or by post:
• To claim online: participants should visit www.samsung.com/uk/galaxygiveaway,
complete the online claim form and upload a copy of their proof of purchase for
the Promotion Product(s).
• To claim by post: participants should obtain a claim form (either in store, by
calling +44 (0) 1584 871381, or online at
www.samsung.com/uk/galaxygiveaway, complete the claim form and post it,
together with a copy of their proof of purchase to: Samsung Free Phone Offer,
PO Box 151, Ludlow, SY8 9BE. Participants must retain their original proof of
purchase as copies will not be returned.
10. Claims that are incomplete or damaged will be deemed invalid. No responsibility is accepted
by the Promoter for lost, delayed or damaged claims (e.g. which are lost in the post or where
online data is not received or is corrupted).

11. The Promoter reserves the right at its absolute discretion to disqualify claims which it
considers do not comply with these terms and conditions.
12. The Promoter shall have the right, where necessary, to undertake all such action as is
reasonable to protect itself against fraudulent or invalid claims including, without limitation,
to require further verification as to proof of purchase, as well as the identity, age, and other
relevant details of a participant.
13. If a participant returns the Promotion Product after submitting a claim, the claim will be
invalid and the participant must immediately call: +44 (0) 1584 871381 to cancel the claim.
The Promoter reserves the right to check with the retailer whether a Promotion Product has
been returned and, by submitting a claim, the participant provides consent to the Promoter to
do so. The Promoter reserves the right to report suspicious activity or claims to the police.
14. A claim must be made by the participant and must not be made through agents or third
parties.
15. The name and address shown on the proof of purchase must match the participant’s details
included on the claim form.
16. Participants will receive the Reward within 28 days of the Promoter receiving and validating the
Claim Form.
Privacy and Data Protection
17. The Promoter may use any personal information submitted by the participant to advise
participants of future promotions and to provide information about products of the Promoter
or its associated companies that may be of interest. The participant hereby consents to such
personal information being used for this purpose and confirms that it agrees with the
Promoter’s privacy policy available at: http://www.samsung.com/uk/info/privacy.html. The
participant may withdraw consent to such use of personal information by writing to the
Promoter or by using the opt-out process outlined in the Promoter’s privacy policy.
18. Other than as set out in these terms and conditions or for the purposes of operating the
Promotion, the details and information provided by the participant when entering the
Promotion will not be used for any promotional purpose, nor shall they be passed to any
third party.
General
19. The Promoter shall not be liable for any interruption to the Promotion whether due to force
majeure or other factors beyond the Promoter’s control.
20. The Promoter reserves the right, acting reasonably and in accordance with all relevant
legislation and codes of practice, to vary the Terms and Conditions of the Promotion.
21. The Reward is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash by participants.
22. The Promoter will not be responsible or liable for: (a) any failure to receive submissions due
to transmission failures and other conditions beyond its reasonable control; (b) any late,
lost, misrouted, or damaged transmissions or claims; (c) any computer or communications
related malfunctions or failures; (d) any disruptions, losses or damages caused by events
beyond the control of the Promoter; or (e) any printing or typographical errors in any
materials associated with the Promotion.
23. Participants will be solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes and any other relevant
costs or expenses incurred in participating in this Promotion.
24. By participating in this Promotion, you agree, to the maximum extent permitted by
applicable laws, to release and hold the Promoter harmless from any and all liability
whatsoever for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in or in
connection with the Promotion, including without limitation, awarding, acceptance, receipt,
possession, use and/or misuse of the Reward. The above limitation of liability shall not apply

to death or personal injury caused as a result of Promoter’s negligence.
25. The Promotion is governed by English law.
