and managing common problems in adult and pediatric urology. Although<br />

<strong>of</strong> primary interest to family physicians and internists, nurse practitioners,<br />

Following this course, participants should be able to:<br />

Discuss with patients the differential diagnosis, evaluation, and<br />

treatment options <strong>of</strong> benign prostatic hypertrophy<br />

Identify patients who should obtain a PSA and discuss the recent<br />

controversies in PSA measurements<br />

Evaluate pyelonephritis and calculi in pregnancy and appropriate<br />

treatment<br />

Describe the differential diagnosis and assessment <strong>of</strong> the<br />

acute scrotum<br />

Identify the etiologies <strong>of</strong> erectile dysfunction and treatment<br />

options including the new medical therapies<br />

Discuss medical management for female sexual dysfunction<br />

Summarize management options for geriatric incontinence<br />

Describe the etiology and treatment options <strong>of</strong> newborn<br />

congenital defects including In Utero hydronephrosis,<br />

undescended testicle, circumcision-hypospadias, and<br />

ambiguous genitalia<br />

Review recommended treatment <strong>of</strong> hematuria and stones
