Sanctuary, Assam, India", Ongoing.
Research project on "Conservation of Hoolock gibbon in northeast India" in collaboration with US Fish and Wildlife
Service (USFWS). As Principal Investigator (2002-­‐ongoing).
Supervised field M.Sc. dissertation project (2001): "Assessment of roadside population of primates and impact of
provisioned food and vehicular traffics in Dehradun (at Dartwala temple site)", Indira Gandhi Academy of
Environmental Education Research and Eco-­‐planning, Jiwaji University, Gwalior, M.P. completed.
Supervised M.Sc. dissertation project on "Social behaviour and communication among Lion Tailed Macaque (Macaca
silenus) in Anaimalai Wildlife Sanctuary, Tamil Nadu", Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, 2000.
Research project on "Conservation ecology of endangered mammals in Trishna Wildlife Sancatuary, Tripura".

Field research project on "Effect of habitat fragmentation on the conservation status of Primates (Gibbon) in Assam,
northeast India as one of the Principal Investigator.
Research on "Conservation ecology of primates and human impact in northeast India" from University of Cambridge,
UK. (1992-­‐96). The work included fieldwork for about one year in Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary.
Research project on "Conservation of non-­‐human Primates in Tripura", in collaboration with forest dept., Govt. of
Tripura and Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun, India (1989-­‐92). The field data were collected in Gumti Wildlife
Sancatuary, Tripura (S).
Other primate projects: Ph.D. dissertation (2003 ongoing, as a Co-­‐supervisor): "Ecology and behaviour of two groups
of Rhesus macaque (Macaca mulatta) along roadside and temples sites in Dehradun, India".
Ph.D. dissertation (2002 ongoing): "Conservation of endangered mammal in Trishna Wildlife Sanctuary, Tripura,
India".
Experience / Expertise in captive maintenance / Breeding of primates: Experience gained during my tenure as zoo
incharge at Sepahijala WLS, Tripura. Also involved in proposals training for captive breeding of Phayer's langur in
Tripura.
