CALLING
Sam Watkinson and her team
of talented technicians were
on hand in the Hard Rock
Spa at Hard Rock Calling this
summer to offer the ultimate
manicure to VIP guests.
Over the course of the three-day
festival, Sam and her team did 96
manicures. They used a selection of 38
colours from the Artistic range, plus all
the other necessary tools to create the
perfect finish; all provided of course by
Louella Belle.
The majority of visitors opted for the
Summer in St Tropez Collection, loving
the gorgeous Caviar for Breakfast
colour in particular. Sam was delighted
to meet Molly Bedingfield and find
out about her charity work through an
organisation called The Global Angels;
whilst Sarah Poulton told us about
some of the strange requests they
received: “We had an Italian man who
asked for one of his nails to match
the colour of his car - it was an Aston
Martin!”
Despite being too busy to catch a
rumoured appearance by Prince Harry
at the festival, Sarah can’t wait to
return next year: “It’s such a pleasure
to work with Artistic and its gorgeous
selection of colours. The professional
quality of the brand was perfect for the
VIP clientele.”

the world came together for Artistic Nail
Design’s International Training Seminar,
which was held at its main office in
Brea, Calif in August.
Aspiring and expert nail artists came
from places as far off as Brazil and
Mexico to have the chance of spending
four days being trained by Executive
Vice President and Creative Director,
Alisha Rimando Botero.
“We learnt more about the Artistic Nail
Design range and discussed just about
everything, including the recent scare
on UV lamps and cancer,” commented
Sam Watkinson. “We all had an
amazing time. It was a really valuable
training course and we all left feeling
confident that we had the knowledge
to improve care and education for our
customers back home.”

When Dubai, the shopping capital of the
Middle East, played host to the Beauty World
Middle East trade fair, our very own Sam
Watkinson was there to represent Artistic
Nail Design.
Attending as a guest of Fadi Sawaya, the
importer and distributor of Artistic for the
Gulf region, Sam was able to showcase and
demonstrate the wonders of Artistic Colour
Gloss to visitors and distributors from all over
the World.
