Boat Passage
ATTENTION BOATERS
The Swift Reservoir fish collector located near Swift dam is in operation. It helps fish moving downstream make their way
to the ocean. In order to keep debris out of the fish collector, PacifiCorp has installed debris booms on Swift Reservoir.
There is a narrow <strong>boat</strong> passage in two of the debris booms as indicated below.

Important for safe <strong>boat</strong> passage
Look for Boat Passage signs on the boom to guide you to
the crossing.
BOAT PASSAGE
• Notice solar lights on the boom to help you see it.
• One <strong>boat</strong> at a time through the passage.
• Yield to non-motorized <strong>boat</strong>s.
• Do not exceed 5 miles per hour.
• If your <strong>boat</strong> requires more than 10 feet of water,
you cannot use the <strong>boat</strong> passage.
• Maximum depth clearance is 10 feet.
Fish collector net
There is a deep-water net in front of the fish collector visible on
the water’s surface as a floating orange line. The net guides fish
to the fish collector and prevents entrainment of fish into the
powerhouse intake. For operational and personal safety, stay 200
feet away from the floating orange line on the water’s surface.
