17) Bodaciously Bouncing Boating Whitewater Rafting on the Lower Main Salmon River, Idaho Come enjoy six luxurious days in Western Idaho, paddling the roughly 70 breathtaking miles of the Lower Main Salmon River with your very own <strong>Whitman</strong> river guides and fellow Scramblers. This is the largest Scramble, which means an entertaining and unbelievable orientation experience with many of your fellow classmates. Spend your days enjoying the scenic gorge of the Lower Salmon River while paddling exciting Class I-IV whitewater. Your nights on Dutch Oven specialties, playing camp games, and star gazing in Idaho’s with whitewater rafting is not necessary. Can’t wait to see you on the water in August! Prerequisites: swimming ability and comfort around water. 18) Slammin’ Salmon Whitewater Kayaking on the Salmon River, Idaho Ready to play on the whitewater rapids of the Salmon River near Riggins, Idaho Whether you have previous kayaking experience or not, during our six days on the river we will hone your skills until you and your kayak become one. We will be running class I and II rapids, and maybe some optional class IIIs, which means a whole lot of fun! Working from our base camp, where we will be car camping, we will run different sections of the river each day. While on the river you will learn basic whitewater safety principles, proper paddling will be told. After paddling there will also be time for hiking, frisbee tossing, s’more making and fun. Whitewater kayaking can be physically and mentally demanding so come prepared to challenge yourself. This Scramble is perfect and personal camping gear (we’ll provide almost everything else), take a deep breath and join us as we make our way down the Slammin’ Salmon of Idaho! Prerequisites: Strong swimming ability and comfort around water.
