Kelly Eaton, Ph.D. assumed<br />
the newly created position of senior vice<br />
president/chief academic officer (CAO)<br />
on September 17, 2012. She oversees<br />
the curriculum and performance of <strong>The</strong><br />
Wash<strong>in</strong>gton <strong>Center</strong>’s programs. Dr.<br />
Eaton came to the organization with<br />
a strong background <strong>in</strong> experiential<br />
learn<strong>in</strong>g at the university level.<br />
TWC is the lead<strong>in</strong>g academic <strong>in</strong>ternship<br />
program <strong>in</strong> the country, and the CAO<br />
serves as the organization’s representative<br />
to the academic community.<br />
For almost 40 years, TWC has been<br />
extend<strong>in</strong>g the reach and efficacy of quality<br />
experiential learn<strong>in</strong>g opportunities. This<br />
position allows TWC to ref<strong>in</strong>e current<br />
programs, create new <strong>in</strong>itiatives and<br />
cont<strong>in</strong>ue to be the <strong>in</strong>dustry benchmark<br />
for experiential learn<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
Dr. Eaton was most recently the assistant<br />
provost for experiential learn<strong>in</strong>g and<br />
student success at Nebraska Wesleyan<br />
University <strong>in</strong> L<strong>in</strong>coln, Nebraska.<br />
