Mr. Peponis holds a PhD on Electrical and Computers Engineering from NTUA. He has<br />
specialized on the optimization of the operation and the development of electricity<br />
networks, as well as on energy markets. He served RAE since 2002 for several years, as<br />
director of the Electricity Systems Unit, and participated actively to all the activities and<br />
important projects of the Authority regarding the development, regulation and<br />
monitoring of the electricity market, as more specifically the development of Market<br />
Codes, the auctions for new generating capacity, the monitoring of HTSO, etc. Since early<br />
2008, as an independent consultant, he cooperated mainly with PPC on regulated<br />
business issues, especially regarding the unbundling. Since mid 2009, Dr. Peponis is<br />
Country Manager of EGL Hellas.<br />
